When Madonna first came into music she represented this sexually free and liberated woman, people wanted to be her and people hated her for what she was doing. Either way, people were talking about her. She challenged society's very strict view on women and it ended up paying off for her, she took a risk and it panned out extremely well.Serendipity.-noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4341723937148634092.post-76219904727489134032013-02-03T14:31:57.242+00:002013-02-03T14:31:57.242+00:00Why is the world obsessed with MadonnaWhy is the world obsessed with MadonnaWilliam Monknoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4341723937148634092.post-4131322933806251332012-12-06T10:43:51.429+00:002012-12-06T10:43:51.429+00:00personally i wouldn't want to be compared to M...personally i wouldn't want to be compared to Madonna who has been lacking since day one. She has a vocal tone similar to that of other artists that you have posted on here. I'm not all too Familiar with her solo work, I just know of her from her collaborations with The Distant World's orchestra. She often fills in for other ladies and performs the vocal pieces to the Final Fantasy series live. Although this particular theme song (Answers) was originally sang by her. Also, yes!!, you often have to step outside of the mainstream to find the real talented artists.Mel Rhttp://twitter.com/Melo_R0noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4341723937148634092.post-59596692640072478442012-11-05T15:39:31.034+00:002012-11-05T15:39:31.034+00:00I do love you. I don't go out of my way to be mean but I don't fear rejection for being considered mean either. I know most people do.

But I do mind if someone thinks I was being mean to them when I intended the opposite.

Uncompromising? Don't know about that seeing as I hate pop music and pop divas in general yet here I am on this blog, being quite positive at times. That doesn't sound like the actions of an uncompromising individual do they?

Anyway, if you think I am a meteorological force, don't ever watch Fran Lebowitz. She is even more abrasive then I am. Though she is way wittier about it. You probably saw that in my comments on Denters. It wasn't about me liking her or her music (I'm no fan), more about appreciating she had worked on something. You are very direct and quite precise about what criticisms you do dish out so I think I eased away a bit from that. And I didn't know the black eyes comment even bothered you since you were so quick on the return. That was because I perceived you as cold, uncompromising and abrasive. I figured you'd not care much about anything I said. But seriously, seems like we misread the other and got all confused about what the other was trying to say. We are totally different communicators (inverted personalities would be my informal guess) so this confusion would be par for the course.

And I am glad to see you can 'fess up to being quite a meteorological force. ;-)Sparklilunoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4341723937148634092.post-58705211568922300342012-11-05T10:26:38.834+00:002012-11-05T10:26:38.834+00:00Nvm, after clicking on the article and reading it ...Nvm, after clicking on the article and reading it thoroughly, it seems as though those are the total number of copies sold by that artist for all of their singles combined. I know for a fact that Japanese singer Thelma Aoyama held a record for most digital downloads in Japan (8.7 million digital copies and that was Asia only I believe) until Japanese band Green Surpassed her. Also, previously the record was held by Japanese singer Utada Hikaru, who sold over 7.7 million digital copies of her single Flavor of Life. Even discounting Asian artists, I'm not sure why Adele isn't on this list. According to wikipedia, and countless other sites, in the U.S alone she sold over 7 million digital copies of Rolling in the Deep. This list is a croc of shit. The U.S has the largest music market, followed by Japan. There's no way in hell these songs have sold as many copies as this lists proclaims exclusively in the U.K.Mel Rhttp://twitter.com/Melo_R0noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4341723937148634092.post-26493078064704332332012-11-05T10:17:05.086+00:002012-11-05T10:17:05.086+00:00yes I WAS on your case, in that I like you and exc...yes I WAS on your case, in that I like you and exchanging ideas with you.
