[New Music] Whitney Houston Feat R Kelly "I Look To You"
The first song to be taken from The Best Of Whitney Houston album, which hits the shelves on November 13th, has hit Youtube. I Look To You, which was originally the title track of the departed Diva's last album, has been reworked and now features vocals from its writer, R.Kelly.
[New Music] Kylie Minogue "Flower"
I was not expecting such mature gorgeousness from Kylie Minogue's new material. Shame on me.
New single Flower is a gentle, beautifully arranged ballad, full of strings and romantic overtones. Co-written by the singer, the song showcases the often unheard strength of Ms Minogue's voice. It's a stark contrast to the nasal, biting tone that's usually employed to her brand of electro-pop, but it demonstrates nicely the versatility of the Australian Pop Princess's voice.

[Watch] Fantasia, Joe, and Karen Clark Sheard Tribute Mariah Carey at the BMI Urban Awards
Mariah Carey finally seems to be getting some recognition from the music industry she has pretty much been on top of for over two decades- we won't mention the "G" word.
Last year Mariah was honoured by BET, where Patti Labelle and Kelly Rowland paid tribute to the 5-octave singer with their performances of Hero and Fantasy [See here]. This year it was the turn of the BMI Urban Awards to celebrate Mariah Carey and her skill as a lyricist.

[Watch] P!nk And No Doubt Join Forces @ I Heart Festival
Say What?! P!nk AND Gwen Stefani on one stage? Performing? Together?? Yes, calm down! It happened during No Doubt's set at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas. Unfortunately it was for only (half of) one song, but what song could be more appropriate than the girl power anthem, Just A Girl.

[Video Review] Florence Welch And Calvin Harris "Sweet Nothing"
I really wasn't sure about the Calvin Harris and Florence Welch collaboration, Sweet Nothing. Being a fan of both Brits I was expecting to have fallen madly in love with it on first listen, and this not happening left me confused, ashamed and shaking uncontrollably.
However, time, and repeated exposure to the song, have somewhat warmed me to it. I was only hoping the Vincent Haycock directed video would turn up the heat on our thawing relationship. But that didn't happen.
