I see in a response below that Fiona's profile would be improved, but so far not a single new information was added. I hope you're working on it, 'cause an artist like her, against the tide of electro/gimmick songs we have nowadays, surely needs a decent profile.
Btw, I love your work on this site. it's so informative! ;)
More than a beautiful voice, her talent as a songwriter is undeniable. I think she's brilliant, visceral, her songs take you to a different journey everytime.
The Idler Wheel is her critically most appraised album to date. And I can't disagree with what folks are saying. In terms of the sound, it is a more daring and diverse offering than earlier work. The quirk of "Every Single Night" meets old Fiona on "Werewolf" and "Periphery." With time, she sounds more compelling than she did on Tidal or When the Pawn...It's definitely worth a listen if you like Apple's sound and themes.
So true...More please!
ReplyDeleteThis whole profile is in a sorry state and doesn't do any justice to the gorgeous Fiona. Will sort it out soon!
ReplyDeleteexcuse me but what songs did she hit C3 and A5 in ? :)
ReplyDeleteHer voice sounds like heartbreak and resilience.
ReplyDeleteBy the way have you heard her rendition of "I Want You" ?
It is truly shiver inducing.

ReplyDeleteDiva Devotee I'm curious to know how you felt about Fiona's latest effort "The Idler Wheel..." (I'm far too lazy to type that one out lol) ?
