[New Video] Mariah Carey & Miguel - "#Beautiful"

Okay..So..Yeah...on the positive side, I love #Beautiful even more now than when I reviewed it, here- I see some of you canny folk clocked on to the grade change * side-eyeing Mperry93*. But the accompanying video...I'm not sure I can deal with right now. I'm tempted to rip off some of the hilarious commentary occurring on the site chatbox and spin it as my own, but instead I'll leave the video here and let you guys deal with it in whatever way you see fit in the comments.....

...Oh who am I kidding, I have to say something! Don't get me wrong, the video is beautifully (hehehehe) shot and Mariah looks gorgeous, but it all falls down when she tries to work the saucy and seductive angle (yet again).

When will someone have the guts to tell her she's not doing "sexy" right! Heck, even if they can't tell her outright, they could at least give her a few tips on how to improve! It isn't hard, just tone it down and don't over exaggerate every movement! You were already on the right track during the Butterfly era- like in the videos for The Roof  and Breakdown. LESS IS MORE DARLING!

Also, while I'm on the subject, there is a time and a place for everything! Don't think I didn't notice you trying to throw some of those moves into the video for Almost Home [See: Here Here]! That was neither the time nor the place! Lord only knows what got left on the cutting room floor.

But I still love you MC! Perhaps even more so for these little idiosyncrasies. Besides, do I really want a truly sexy Mariah? I'm not sure I do.  (Wow, this post is going to read like the ramblings of a madman! Not least because I've just talked myself out of my argument!)

  1. For me personally, the video was a little underwhelming. The filming/cinematics in the motorcycle scenes seemed off to me, maybe too cheesy almost? And like you said, she kind of does try to do sexy a little too much, and it comes across as overkill (especially the scenes where her hair is a mess and she's rubbing her face), because we KNOW that she can do sexy right. On the other hand, the lighting and set in the barn(?) scene looks gorgeous. Maybe the video just didn't have enough overall substance and content for me.

  3. Mariah Carey in a trashy outfit on the back of a motorbike....that just doesn't look right to me. This is the Diva amongst divas. She is Class.
That little yellow dress though, that worked. And she looked gorgeous. She really doesn't need to do much more than just stand there in a dress like that to look utterly sexy.
I agree, less would have been so much more.

  4. Gosh DD, the way you wrote the article is so adorable. I like the video version of the song more. With the flirtatious laugh and simple improvisations. Agreed, the video is #beautiful but the way Mariah exaggerates the movements makes it feel so snobbish.

    ReplyDelete
  5. In this case, it sounds like your definition of less is way different Opie. ;)

  6. DOES THIS WOMAN NEVER AGE?!
Apart from that, I thought that it was a cute video. Good song, overall.

  8. i agree about less is more

but damn for someone whos 43, she looks phenomenal - her body is curvy in all the right ways and she still looks sexy as hell

the song is impeccable so simple yet so good - such an easy listen

  9. Does it? How do my words suggest something else and what else? Because I really meant the same as DD. :-)

  10. "That little yellow dress though, that worked. And she looked gorgeous. She really doesn't need to do much more than just stand there in a dress like that to look utterly sexy." I guess I applied the less is more phrase in the wrong sentence then. ;)

  11. You guys are so puritan. Shame on U!

Mariah did a great job. She knows what to do with herself: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R5aUZ5bwDNs

  12. I personally enjoyed the entire video. I think that Mariah was kind of over exaggerating some of the movements- but hey the woman's just having fun. The yellow dress looked amazing on her and although I could have lived without the black piece- she definitely still has the body for it. On another note- not only is this woman great at reinventing her image- she NEVER looks old to me! If I didnt know who she was I would have swore she was much younger than 40.

  13. I'd tap that!!! And yes, that means both of them....not at the same time though...or maybe..?

    ReplyDelete
  14. Hehe don't worry I will warm one of them up for you ;)

    ReplyDelete
  15. I was worried about you when I wrote this post. Thought you'd come for my scalp! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  16. I guess. I just meant that where the motor outfit is trashy ( which I personallly do not consider a synonym for ''sexy'') the dress is sexy and she looks sexy. She doesn't have to try to with all kinds of moves or poses, she already is.

    ReplyDelete
  17. FILTH!! LOL I don't think I could ever think of mariah in that way. She's so asexual to me. She is gorgeous though. Perhaps I can film the whole sordid thing. Could be the way to launch your celebrity career. You could be the Scottish Kim K!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Can't you just fuck off to English classes yet?
Because mine, you aggressive and annoying child, was a comment paying high compliment to Mariah.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Hahaha you know me by now! Kim K!?! Do you think my booty is big enough?

  22. Oh dear god!!!!!!! I just about spat my coffee all over the screen! I feel violated :D

    ReplyDelete
  23. ...LOL. I need to figure out how to make it so others have to click to see it...Don't want everyone else having the same reaction!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Tee hee hee! What the hell is that in there anyway? Its like a plasticine implant....it really does not look good!

    ReplyDelete
  25. apparently the implant wasn't put behind the muscle...http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2277773/Renee-butt-surgery-video-Victim-botched-butt-surgery-speaks-time-moment-implants-flipped-inside-leaving-unsightly-bulges.html

    ReplyDelete
  26. Yeah, I think her looking truly happy was the best part of the video for me!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Haha figures! And serves her right, if she cannot own the little she has got then shame on her ;)

    ReplyDelete
  28. Amen! That's why I walk the streets like this : http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lno437lM8Y1qc5kxz.gif

    ReplyDelete
  29. I'm actually quite surprised at the negative reaction, even from Diva Devotee! I love the video. I think it's so...Mariah. Yes, she's touching herself a lot, but in a way that's what makes her Mariah. She's so silly and eccentric when it comes to stuff like that. And I think the scenes in the barn are beautiful, if you just boil it down to a woman and her man in complete isolation from the world, out in the country, having fun with each other and being silly and cheeky...then what's wrong with that? It's only because it's Mariah Carey and that you guys are praying to the music gods that she's going to jump out and be her 23 year old self that you hate it.

    ReplyDelete
  30. As much as I like the song, I don't think there's any chemistry between Mariah and Miguel on the song or even in the music video. Granted, they're both in committed relationships, but I definitely think they could have sold it better. I can't shake the feeling that Miguel just emailed the the track to Mariah and told her to add her vocals to the parts where he wasn't singing. Their vocals never really intertwine or meld together. I still really like the song though haha.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Don't be shocked, its no biggie really. Also,I wasn't implying I want her to go back to how she was when she was young- especially considering how happy she seems now. I have no beef with what she's wearing, or for that matter what she sings (like most people who DO want her to go back to how she was) . I was only saying if she is going for sexy, which I think she is- oppose to "cheeky" or "Silly"- then it's not quite working (for me). If she is indeed going for "cheeky" and "silly" then boy did she nail it. Nothing really worth getting upset about.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Hopefully a live showing of the song will help make the chemistry- or lack of it- more apparent.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I'm a bit puzzled where you get the ''you guys hate it'' from.
I certainly don't hate it. I just think she doesn't have to try 'acting'' sexy. (Unlike DD) I think she IS sexy just being herself.
Have to say, I personally did not read any hating on Mariah in this entire thread.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I was thinking the same exact thing!

    ReplyDelete
  35. I'd really like it if Mariah put the stripper costumes away. She's 43, and I think she needs to put that promiscuous part of her life away, in her music and videos at least. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for sexual expression... but she's 43 and it some point it needs to stop.
I also thought it was weird seeing Miguel and Mariah like that, I just wasn't feeling it.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Mariah has never been promiscuous, sure she likes to wear skimpy outfits but there is a massive difference between that and putting the goods out there all over the place for anyone.

Besides who says at her age she can't be sexy? Or once one hits 40 should they start wearing tweed suits and never engage in activities that might be deemed inappropriate because they are older? I think she is doing a service to those middle aged women showing them that you can still be sexy, classy and playful at the same time. Its not like she is Madonna and got her crotch just about bursting out...now that's offensive!

  38. In the words of my great great grandmother, "Black don't crack" ;)

    ReplyDelete
  39. Mariah should put more yellow in her wardrobe, it compliments her nicely :)
Not crazy about the video though.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Indeed! You can always rely on me to lower the tone :D

    ReplyDelete
  41. Why should age make her stop?

    ReplyDelete
  42. you better watch out next time. I"m here for Mimi.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Well... Some do apply the "less clothing is more!"
But nowadays it's so abused it's boring :\

    ReplyDelete
  44. Well said Stuey! Also, she's been wearing skimpy outfits since forever. Though, I also agree that the black coloured one should go... It just wasn't right in the video. Maybe another video she would have rocked it, but just no. Not this one.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Yeh, I have to agree the strappy black look wasn't really doing much for me although I guess for being on a motorbike it was the most practical thing she could think of lol

    ReplyDelete
  46. Well, she's just a quarter black right? The real woman that never ages is Avril Lavigne. That woman.... -_-

    ReplyDelete
  47. She could have done a little more... http://media.heavy.com/media/2010/09/172.jpg -ish?

    ReplyDelete
  48. I'd sure love as hell to see you walk like that lmfao.

    ReplyDelete
  49. She's half, actually.

And Avril is what? Late twenties? Early thirties? PFFFT.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Even as a super gay man, You gotta agree it looks better than what Mimi was wearing. LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Indeed, but its not quite as hot as it would be on me!!

  55. She's half? Why's she so white? *Mean girls flash back*

Okay okay point taken with the Avril Lavigne one. We shall see in 10 years time. ;D

    ReplyDelete
  56. I say as long as she is still visually appealing then why not? She somehow still has the body of a 20 year old. God. She must have the fountain of youth in that Marilyn Piano or something.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Haha....what a waste of a drink though :/

    ReplyDelete
  58. I know, here is hoping that her voice ages at the same rate as her exterior!

    ReplyDelete
  59. Well, wouldn't we love to drink that. ;D

    ReplyDelete
  60. Well, there is nothing like a protein shot eh?! ;) Dear lord you are making me even filthier than I was....how is this possible?

    ReplyDelete
  61. Honestly- to me her voice sounds like its going backwards. It sounds brighter and purer than it started off as! lol

    ReplyDelete
  62. I bring out the demons in people... Specifically only the lusty ones. ;D

    ReplyDelete
  63. I know, her vocals have been pretty solid recently! I did like her sound vocally on Memoirs too though! I wish she would give us a release date for the new album, I am wondering if Triumphant will be on there considering every review I have read of #beautiful states it as the lead single and not Triumphant...

    ReplyDelete
  64. Let me rephrase that. She doesn't need to stop, I just think it's a bit immature.

    ReplyDelete
  65. YESH!!!!!! YESH!!!!! YESH!!!! FIZ EVERYWHERE!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  66. True, that was a case bad wording from me. I meant to say her attire is very sexual. I personally think women once they reach a certain stage in their life should show maturity. Not too suggest that Mariah is immature, but that certain aspect of her demonstrates immaturity IMO.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Buahahahahaha.....horrendous. How does she sleep at night with that implant so loose?

    ReplyDelete
  68. @Ricky Yong Chin Yuan @ScottishStuey @blackrobin Get a room already!

    ReplyDelete
  69. Hey!! Lets play nice!! Less of the aggro, please!

    ReplyDelete
  70. Behaaaaaaaaaaave. He's mine, btw. ;) LOL

    ReplyDelete
  71. Oh DD. I don't want a room without you in it. I only want you. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  72. Oh Stuey... don't act like you've never been violated... AHAHAHAHAHA

    ReplyDelete
  73. WAIT! I should say a room for studying and praying and fasting and repenting and whatever else is needed to make people virtuous and upstanding members of the community!!! [I forget that you guys are practically kids!! NO SHADE...lol]

    ReplyDelete
  74. Oh DD. Kids do it too. While they are claiming to be "studying". What are we learning? Reproduction? ;) LOL.
    Goshhhh.

    ReplyDelete
  75. -__-.....lol

    ReplyDelete
  76. Meow? You could watch him do me, though. LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Good lawd, so vulgar...... lol He looks nice but he isn't my type. lol (over 6 ft)....

    ReplyDelete
  78. He's hot and I'm desperate. What's there more to say? AHAHAHA.

    ReplyDelete
  79. So you're saying promiscuity is immature? I don't honestly know if Mariah was ever "promiscuous" or if she only dressed in a sexually liberated fashion, but I think a woman revelling in her sex appeal and the femininity and womanliness of her body is anything BUT immature.

It's funny; when a older guy, especially a dad, in their 40s or 50s still has an incredible body and walks around shirtless (aka Daniel Craig etc) they are labelled as 'hot' 'dilf' etc, and are almost NEVER told to "put their shirt back on" and "grow up" for it. And yet when a woman like mariah who is, I at least personally think, at the height of her aesthetic appeal and in absolutely incredible shape, does the same sort of thing, she is labelled promiscuous and that she is wearing a "stripper costume", ESPECIALLY if the person (like Mariah) is a mother and should be more of a "role model".

Not sure about you, but I would rather have a role model be someone who is comfortable and confident in her own skin and revels in her sexual liberation than someone who conforms to a patriarchy's view of how woman should "respectably" behave at a certain age :)

    ReplyDelete
  80. No, her father was black and her mother was Irish, her father was just lighter skinned. Her father wasn't mixed from what I understand so no she wouldn't be "a quarter black" Just because Mariah's lighter doesn't mean she is a smaller dosage of black. There's many shades to African :P

Avril is only 28 lol, that's still fairly young.

    ReplyDelete
  81. I have a feeling that Triumphant is just going to be looked over...or something.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Omg you guys are awful lolz.

    ReplyDelete
  83. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mj_xBsvGeB4
Am I the only Trini Trent fan here? :3

    ReplyDelete
  84. Thank you for that lovely compliment. <3

    ReplyDelete
  85. Okay okay. I'm guilty as charged, as Reiko already clarified it earlier to me. But I don't know why I thought she was quarter black all along though. :\

    ReplyDelete
  86. Some do but I rarely. I'm for sexy over trashy. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  87. How about Sexy and trashy? :O
I just contradicted myself. Is it possible to be both at the same time? :)

    ReplyDelete
  88. I understand for many..yes. For me...no.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Oh, me too! I comment on his blog all the time lol.

    ReplyDelete
  90. She always says she's part Venezuelan, that's probably why. In truth, her father was a black man from Venezuela :P

    ReplyDelete
  91. LOL she looked mid thirties in that picture...

Although, her weight has a tendency to show on her face, and she's lost quite a bit of weight since then... lmao.

    ReplyDelete
  92. From my understanding, he was indeed Venezuelan as well as black. He just happened to be of black Venezuelan descent.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Love this gif, mostly because of Tom Hardy LOL

    ReplyDelete
  94. I personally don't think she's trying to be sexy she just being naughty and there's a difference! aside form the spelling haha. The song is carefree and letting go with the flow and that's what she's doing she's being playful and being herself and just having fun. and to those saying Mariah is such a diva i just have to say that i don't really find her too DIVA? i mean yeah she acts really high and proud but doesn't she deserves that? She's been working for more than half of her life and been successful. and she's still humble and kind. i watch AI every week and she's so nice. when i think of a total diva it's Madonna cause she's proud, superficial, and mean but i like her though

    ReplyDelete
  95. Diva is a widely defined word. To me it's not a negative. To me it's the kind of woman one imagines to be high class. And high maintenance ....because she deserve it because she is high class.
The kind of woman one expects to see riding in limousines rather than the back of a motorbike. But who, when she does get on the back of a motorbike....elevates that to a higher level.

I agree there's a difference between being naughty and being sexy but...if a grown woman is acting naughty in a situation as in the video....she is trying to be sexy to the guy.

I would not call Madonna superficial. Proud ...I'm sure. Mean...I'd say that may be true. But superficial...too many signs there's a lot going on there. That is why you see definite themes in her work. Themes that ,unlike with her later copycats, seem to be genuinly springing from who she is. Used to their commercial most advantageous yes, but nevertheless originating in her personality and views.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Possibly because many people wrongly assume that being "fully black" means having very dark pigmented skin, and that anything lighter is the result of being of mixed decent, and the lighter you are the more mixed you are, or the less "black" you are.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Nono. I remember I read it somewhere. It's either I remembered it wrongly, or that the information was wrrrrroooong. I've seen fair black people. So... :o

    ReplyDelete
  98. Maybe it's just me but somehow discussing a person's percentage of black ( or white or whatever) feels ...''wrong''. Too reminiscent of the Nuremberg Laws

    ReplyDelete
  99. He's hot, but I haven't reach desperate yet. And you need to call me so i can show you my friends and I's choreography to "Stupid Hoe" by Nicki Minaj. lol

    ReplyDelete
  100. Trinidadian accents can make a fin whale surface faster than a shoal of sardines can.....Lawd, that is earsex...

    ReplyDelete
  101. Didn't mean to imply you guys had to stop. I just felt that it feels wrong to me and wanted to say that. I was also curious whether I'm alone in that.
Could be an age and Europan thing only.
So really...if you guys want to discuss the subject, please don't let me stop you :-)

    ReplyDelete
  102. It's not the 'black'' thing but the percentage thing which feels particularly wrong to me.
Because it leads to such terms as ''fairskinned ''black'' people'', suggesting there are more differences between black and white people than superficial ones such as skincolor.

    ReplyDelete
  103. I spent some hours wondering why Mariah's moves look so familiar to me. Today I finally realised that she copied Kim Basinger's hot scene. Watch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KH5oIajI_gI

    ReplyDelete
  104. What nonsense. Those moves are standard moves.

    ReplyDelete
  105. who ask for your opinion? What a meant was that the scene is very similar. Can you shut now?

    ReplyDelete
  106. Ah. But then again, I was referencing those terms out of curiosity not in forms of any discrimination. I don't find wrong in talking about skin colour. I find crime in discriminating against them. Why find fault in something merely a topic? I mean, every "colour" has it's own specialty. Black people usually sing better... and heck run better. Whites are better at sports mostly etc. Again, they are not restricted. They can do more than just that. But why deny what you can do better than others? ;)

    ReplyDelete
  107. You did when you posted a general post in a public forum Luis.
Where do you get off with your repeated posts telling me to 'shut up''?

You did not say the scene is similar. You said she ''copied'' it.

Getting a bit tired and bored with your needless aggression tbh.

You may be all over Mariah but I'd put money on her viewing you much in the same light she views Minaj. Because you, Luis, are behaving much more like Nicky than Mariah would be caught dead behaving like.

    ReplyDelete
  108. First off...like I said, I am not saying you are discriminating. I said talking about percentageof ethniticity reminds me of stuff from my European past and it therefor feels wrong.
And I am not reminded of racism so much as of the root of racsm.

However...much as I am sure you in no way meant to sound like that....what you just wrote is in fact considered incredibly racist.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Imo if that is what you really think, you should feel free to say it.
But I think that post was really more like these people...
Meant well but not thought through well :-)

    http://www.upworthy.com/watch-these-straight-people-answer-a-question-gay-people-have-been-asked-for-years-6?g=2&fb_source=timeline&ref=profile&refid=17#_=_

    ReplyDelete
  110. What I thought was fairly simple. Everyone should not deny their talents.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Again, to be absolutely clear...I did not mean anything here as criticism. I just meant to say how it made me feel, reading that conversation and curious whether I'm alone in that.
Please nobody take this in any other light. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  112. I understand ''copied'' just fine. It is you who seems to be confused about your own writing.
After just the most minimum of research I found striptease scenes with similar moves from the 50's and 60's. And I'm sure most striptease act for decades looked similar.
Just because 9 1/2 weeks is all you know, doesn't mean it's all there is to know.
Fyi Kim Basinger did no invent those moves.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Yes, but while saying that, you also claimed one can correctly attribute specific talents to specific skin colors.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Not since he said Beyonce was scared of starting her new era.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Guuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurl you said a mouthful......I was thinking the same thing you know...but you beat me to the punch because I got all this lace front glue on my hands so I commend you...#snapout.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Yes, I did. But I also said it's also unrestricted to skin colour. Though, people in general, most are stereotypical. :\

    ReplyDelete
  117. I'll try for the LAST TIME:

Mariah's moves reminded me Kim's, and then the scene itself.

So, what I meant was: Mariah's copied the WHOLE scene, not just the moves. GOSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

    ReplyDelete
  118. Lol sorry what i meant is narcissistic i was thinking about that word then suddenly i put superficial somehow i don't know why but we all know that the GAYS also helped madonna a lot, some/most of her remarkable works originated from them so i give them big PROPS and about the diva thing i love them! you know what they say
"When they are good, they’re great, and when they are bad, they’re better!" it's just that i get tired from the comments in youtube *sigh*

    ReplyDelete
  119. And I'll try again...that is just plain nonsense. First of all ''similar to'' and ''copy'' are NOT synonymous.
Second of all is the similarity vague and no bigger than with most striptease like scenes.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Lol yes narcissistic is a very different thing( still one I'd disagree with though. ;-D )

I'm not familiar with what's being said on youtube about this. But I am familiar with the usual comments one finds on youtube so I can imagine your frustration. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  121. why would you disagree with narcissistic? isn't it evident? i want to know your thoughts

    ReplyDelete
  122. just like what Mariah said to Nicki Minaj: "You just like to desagree with me". Now I get it. Keep on talking, and maybe someday I'll care about it. LOL

  123. Because I have close experience with someone who shows 9 of the 10 official characteristics of a narcissist and I have not heard enough of those signs being displayed by Madonna to agree.
I think she is very convinced of herself and determined to get her way but that's not the same.
I''m sure she is hard woman in many ways and probably unlikeable to most though. ;-)

  124. so what then we call her so we can agree :)

    ReplyDelete
  125. I agree and share the same sentiments.
I often get in my daily life "So you're like not even a quarter black right? You're like 10%, etc. etc." and other such things. So I definitely feel the same sentiments, but for differing things.

  126. From what I understand Triumphant was always intended to be a promo single, but at this point I'm thinking the MC camp would do best to keep this under rug swept and act like nothing happened :)

  127. I die a little bit more on the inside each time I scroll past this section of the comment area, thank you Diva.

This is why implants go under the muscle.

  128. I doubt very much Mariah would ever use desagree.
Aside from that...only when you are wrong. And you simply are.
Most of the moves are not similar and though likely in your fantasy she did, in this video Mariah isn't actually doing a striptease. Kim was.
Actually the only straight out similarities are the backlighting of the female and the male occasonally giving directions.
Both hardly unique to 9 1/2 weeks.

  129. I'll be adding the three "M"s to my "Phrases I've borrowed from Opie" section in my head.

  130. We already agreed on proud. We can also just disagree. Nothing wrong with having different views. After all, unless we'd get to know her personally, either of us could be right. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  131. i don't know why but you contradict yourself hold it together man

  132. I meant the cause for the sentiments, my bad.

Where your opinion, from what you've said, is drawn from a certain part of history and mine is drawn from personal day to day life.

  133. And you keep on making my comments 'relevant' to you. :-)
And keep on believing I share your need for such validation.

  135. How so?
But I do agree to an extent. The more I watch the video the more accepting I am of it... the "Mariah Carey Effect" I guess.

  139. Trying to get into this song...still can't but whatever. I hate the muffled sound...

    ReplyDelete
  140. More gibberish. And on top of that..keys getting stuck.

Seriously dude...just imagine that with sound. There you are..laughing like crazy at your own ....''joke''.
That joke being your continued responses with gibberish in a desperate attempt to show ....well, what really???
    How relevant you are?
Because I have news for you. Your type was old about a week into the internet becoming public.

    ReplyDelete
  141. cause you said she needs to stop dressing stripper costumes then you said she doesn't need to stop. and then you said that that the way she dress is promiscuous then you said so you're a confused person

  142. Thank You for all the nice words. You are #Beautiful - as we say here is Brazil: Você é #Linda.

    ReplyDelete
  143. You are ever so welcome for the words. Unfortunately that language barrier caused a little misunderstanding. :-(
Those weren't ''nice'' words. Equally unfortunate, I do not speak portuguese. If I did I might have been able to make my sentiments more clear to you.
But as we say here ''ach, ga effe fietse jochie''

    ReplyDelete
  144. I said, "I'd like it if she stopped," I never said she needed to. It's not a dire request, it's just a suggestion.
Your last sentence doesn't make sense.

  145. I personally think the single is a much needed breath of fresh air from Mariah. It is very reminiscent of her style from the 90's & even early 2000's while still staying relevant, not to mention her belting range is sounding the healthiest it has been in a while. The video was kind of an ego trip I have to admit. She looks unbelievably young & vivacious, but it puts a little awkward edge on the music video as a whole because she's married & has kids & not that there is anything wrong with looking & feeling sexy at any age, but I feel like I wish Mariah would want to have been portrayed in a more mature light since she isn't 25 anymore. Still, she definitely delivers musically & I'm pumped for the album & curious to see if she'll go with the sound on this track.

  146. Irony - some like it. Some don't understand it! Gosh!

    ReplyDelete
  147. Rofl indeed dude. But really? You really didn't get yet that your attempt at irrony, as blunt as a butter knife, was met with a very much subtler ironic response???
Did you really think I meant that ''you're ever so welcome''?
Or that ''unfortunately'' and 'unfortunate'' and the regret those words indicate, are sincere?

Are you really this unaware of the level of my understanding of the English language? That I would not understand such a blunt effort?
It's one thing to be ignorant on a subject, it's another thing to not realize you are ignorant on said subject.

Now why don't you go watch a movie or two and maybe learn there's more to cinema's history than 9 1/2 weeks. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  148. Go on! I'm loving every minute fo it.

  149. More butter knife ''irony''. Man oh man...talk about irrelevant. You definitely are the champion.
