Jezebel Tells us what we All already knew: Mariah Carey's Photos are retouched. Go Feminism!

We all know that Mariah Carey's promotional photos are airbrushed to the gawds. In fact, it wasn't too long ago we were all laughing about the ridiculous album artwork for Me. I Am Mariah. The Diva even seems to be self aware enough to know when it's gone too far, recently calling her own team out when the awfully edited cover for You Don't Know What To Do hit the net, tweeting:

“That definitely was NOT my selection for the cover ... ugh!” Carey tweeted this week when the artwork landed online.

“Yes, I would love for you to send me your art for #YDKWTD (’cause at this point IDKWTD! lol).”

Still, 'feminist' website Jezebel have done their duty as champions of the female sex, and proved Mariah to be an insecure fraud by obtaining original photos from the Diva's photoshoot with Terry Richardson. Good job, ladies!

It would be one thing to see these photos on TMZ or another trashy site, but the fact that only today Jez posted on Kesha and her eating disorder, it all leaves me feeling, as a reader of the site, a little green. In a weird way, I suppose I should actually thank them for doing this. If it had been posted elsewhere, I probably would have felt like dragging Mariah. As it is, I think I need some vodka, a good movie, and some time away from the internet.

But what do you guys think: should celebrities be fair game for ridicule when they do stuff like this, or does this underline the comments Kesha has made about the pressures to maintain a certain look in the entertainment industry.
