[Watch] Kelly Clarkson Performs "People Like Us" @ American Idol And Mariah Carey Acknowledges Her Greatness!

MARIAH CAREY KELLY CLARKSON IDOL 2013

After our Kelly Clarkson love-in during yesterday's comments [here], it looks like our devotion was seen by the Gods and was justly rewarded with this live performance of People Like us @ American Idol. Yes. It was just for us, Devotees. Others will DEAL!

Performing the new single, Kelly gave us all kinds of life with her amazingly fluorescent  rendition of the call-to-arms anthem for freaks everywhere (including me)- this is despite claiming to have been nervous performing in front of Mariah Carey.

But it was after the rocking out when the magic really happened for me. That's when the world changed forever: Mariah actually got up from her seat- something I don't think I've seen her do this series of American Idol- and embraced the Idol alumni! EEEEK! Kelly being Kelly of course kept it super together, throwing in the word "crap"; telling Mariah to "shhh" at one point so she could ask Randy a question; talking about throwing-up; and then saying to Mariah, "I'm so glad you're not mean"! But we'd expect nothing less from our down-to-earth Texan! Seriously, can she be any more adorable?!

So clear your schedules and be prepared to watch this again and again! And if you get bored of it (as if), turn your attention to Nicki Minaj, instead. One was not amused.

  3. "I'm so glad you're not mean!" killed me.

  4. First of all i have to say that Kelly sounded different, her voice was like hoarse and a bit darker. Her belt at that big note in the bridge (04:42) was poor executed. i don't know if she was just applying vibrato or was she just wavering. But i do understand her that she's nervous cause she's performing in the front of her biggest influence but I'm not cutting her some slack for that. For she is Kelly Clarkson i expect more from her. Anyway please do acknowledge me about Kelly's voice nowadays cause i haven't paid too much attention on her. the last performance i heard from her was back in the grammy's when she sung Tennessee waltz and A natural woman wherein she sounded epic. and oh BTW Mariah looks so amazing on Idol and tonight she was so STUNNING! and frankly she looks younger than miss Minaj.... just saying...

P.S. i did like the performance but not loving it

  5. i think that she was shading Nicki hahaha

  6. Uhhh, Mariah walked onto the stage the day before to throw glitter on Candice Glover (one of the contestants).

    ReplyDelete
  7. Am I'm wrong that she sounds since the last two years most of the time a little hoarse? Sounds unhealthy to me, like she lost power in her voice.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I thought it was a great performance. It obviously wasn't her best performance but Kelly literally one of the most consistent performers in the industry right now, so I'm gonna cut her some slack considering that she's performing in front of one of her biggest Idols/inspirations.

UGGH the end killed me - SO freakin adorable XD, when she went total fangirl over Mariah. It was great, and I loved that Mariah acknowledged what a great singer Kelly is considering what that means for Kelly to hear that coming from Mariah herself; just an awesome moment in general.

  9. As much as I tend to stay away from Idol, Candice's performance of Lovesong was incredible. SO much passion. DD I'd love to get your thoughts on that performance even if just briefly.

    ReplyDelete
  10. I actually think that's she's improved recently, this performance notwithstanding. But, I excused it considering that Kelly was uncharacteristically nervous having to perform in front of one of her Idols - Mariah.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I would never perform in front of Nicki. She's too hard to impress. I bet if Maria got up there and gave a performance that would bring an alien invasion, Nicki wouldn't be impressed. I don't know what to say for Nicki anymore.

  12. It's a love sandwich for DD between you and I.:-)

    ReplyDelete
  13. Kelly had been saying interviews how she was made to sound like a robot on older albums. Maybe that's the sound you used to and that is why her actual voice sounds hoarse to you?

    ReplyDelete
  14. You don't need to cut her any slack. She herself says that's just life and live singing. Sometimes you sound better than at other times.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I loved this performance. Inspite of that belt towards the end clearly not exactly turning out as intended.

Also thought she was adorable and Mariah was really sweet.Considering how surely Kelly is in a way serious competition to Mariah....that was gracious Diva behavior.Mariah showed class.

  16. I'm a little confused. I listened to the belt at the end and It wasn't as bad as you all described. I mean it wasn't achieved correctly either. She didn't mix prior to the belt and ended up supporting it in her throat which made for the slight vocal fumble. She did it on the first belt to, but maybe that was the sound she was aiming for. I like her though. She may be worth investing a look into, but her music isn't depressing enough for me. It sounds too happy and optimistic. How can humans stand music like that.... Tom Waits here I come...

    ReplyDelete
  17. ''Slight vocal stumble'' I would say about sums it up. Not a big deal in my book.
If you want to look into Kelly but a less happy song try this one :-)

Ps she wrote that tune, sings it and plays all the instruments you hear...

  24. I'm actually okay with that! LOL! SMOOCHIES!! XXXX

    ReplyDelete
  25. She shaded herself with that face! Looked like she was chewing a bee!

    ReplyDelete
  26. She's the only one of the gp that I've actually seen performances from. She is pretty darn awesome. Some of her runs are just unbelievable- and yes, that rendition was simply POW!

    ReplyDelete
  27. I didn't like it. All of the melisma killed the performance imo.

    ReplyDelete
  28. If I'm Mariah i will perform in front of Nicki 24/7 hahaha. and i don't need to impress her, just need to make her feel insecure! hahaha

  34. Lol there are three songs above your comment but I'm gonna guess and think you actually mean ''Fade Into You''?
    I of course agree. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  35. Hahaha..I did mean that in ''the best possible taste''

    ReplyDelete
  36. Totally! It nicely demonstrates why Adele is Adele and a huge success where as that Candice sounds like one in twelve dozen of the last decade at least.

    ReplyDelete
  37. In what context though? Did she clarify? Could have been in reference to her musical output, could have been in referring to her vocal interpretation of a song. I don#t think that statement really covers her hoarseness here. She sounded decent enough. Songs pretty generic though.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Definitely, I think Adele's rendition is superior hands down. I felt nothing while listening to Candice.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Oh my, another Beyonce stan shows up.
What she very specifically said was they altered her voice to such an extent that he sounded not like her actual voice and emotionless. To the point where fans after hearing her live are amazed at how she actually sounds.

    ReplyDelete
  40. LOL, you're killing me! Becareful though, Nicki might make a diss track towards you!

    ReplyDelete
  41. @opieI actually prefer this to Adele's version. That's not to say I don't like Adeles, but this has more of a kick to it, and an arrangement I prefer-In fact I'd love to here Adele sing over it. I also think it was pretty restrained. Having heard some of her other stuff she could have totally ripped that song to pieces with belts- in fact it's what I was expecting- but she was restrained with the vocal (even the melisma was toned down).

    [@facebook-100000090078915:disqus @twitter-522566310:disqus ]

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5f1D9kHogq0 -the Adele version for anyone unfamiliar.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I don't agree with Adele's techniques or styling, but yes, her rendition was definitely superior compared to Candice's. Adele's was emotional. It had that really vulnerable feel to it.

    ReplyDelete
  43. @DD it's a matter of taste of course. Generally obviously you are already more drawn to this style of belting.

I think it is taste determined by personality and what was in vogue at a certain point in life (probably when one hits puberty)
I hit puberty just at the cusp of that transition from the Streisand, less embellished style to the Whitney embellished stylings.
Personality wise I'm more drawn to less is more when it comes to vocals.( as well as arrangements. It's one of my favorite aspects of Krauss' music)
Hence my preference for the like of Kelly, Adele, Pink amongst today's big singers.

As for this being restrained compared to Candice's usual...I don't know about her other work and that sounds like I wouldn't like it anyway. ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  44. "Generally obviously you are already more drawn to this style of belting", I think that's true to a point- I grew up with Mariah and Whitney after all. I also love all those singers you've mentioned, and grew up with Joni Mitchell, Carol King, Kate Bush and Dusty Springfield- who all had dedication to melody - so I don't think it's as simplistic as that. It did make me question why I prefer one ( Candice's) to the other (Adele's), and I think it's the backing more so than anything else. I'm just not a fan of the arrangement on Adele's rendition.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I think most people will go for Adeles. But like I said to opie, the arrangement of the backing - not the vocal- does nothing for me on Adele's version.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Another Beyonce stan? Child please. You made a very vague comment within an open forum, therefore meaning it and all you post here are open to public scrutiny so save the unwarranted shitty attitude. You gave a vague response to someone commenting on Kellys hoarseness and when i question you for clarification you respond quite hypocritically like a rabid stan, as opposed to just clarifying what made you come to the aforementioned conclusion like a mature adult. Have a seat with that bs. Your attempt at an explanation remains redundant. Kelly stating that they made her voice robotic suggests more of a stripping away of the character of her voice and does not in any way explain her sounding hoarse. You tried it, you failed. Youre the worst stan of all a condescending stan in disguise. You're dismissed----->

    ReplyDelete
  47. Aawww thanks Stuey, for those sweet compliments.
I agree, There are several moments there I loved.that almost of mic ''oooh''...also totally heart wrenching. And that upper belt is another. To think I just saw a Beyonce fan claiming Kelly lacks skill. Hah!!!
In my mind as well Kelly is quite the perfect blend of skill and emotion.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Anytime! That's what friends are for! I totally agree with your statement there too!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Yes, I did not mean to suggest your taste is limited to just that style. I know you also appreciate all kinds of musical genres and vocal stylings. :-)

And I understand what you mean about preferring the Candice arrangement.
But I really prefer Adele's arrangement as well. It's clearly Nashville/Americana acoustic scene inspired. And as you know....that IS my favorite music scene. I like just the piano but on this song, Adele's arrangement works more evocatively for me.
But...by no means would I disparage Candice's cover. Vocally or arrangement wise. It's a good cover and I'd probably be way more critical of it had she tried to imitate Adele.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Im sorry, youre clearly referring to me. Again, it is far easier for you to dismiss any and all who disagree with your opinion on Beyonce as stans because it allows you to continue spreading your biased nonsense. Not once did i say that Kelly lacks skill. You would be wise to read comments properly prior to commenting on them, just as you would be wise to research sufficiently into singers you slate before eagerly posting what amounts to verbal diarrhoea. Ok? :)

What i actually stated was that she comparatively lacks vocal skill in terms of technique. Which is very true.

Opinions on how emotive she is or how comparatively superior you find her tone are all down to your personal tastes and experiences and can't be argued against.

Another misinterpretation it would seem "Opie"

    Never mind. It happens :)

    ReplyDelete
  51. Well, sorry to burst your delusional bubble but Kelly has one of the finest and most adept levels of technique in the business...clearly you have not listened to any of Clarksons works...

    ReplyDelete
  52. Burst my bubble? Youve failed if that was your intention mate lol.
Whilst Kelly Clarkson has improved in terms of technique, she is no technician, she is no technical adept. Beyonce is clearly superior in that respect. However that does not equate to me saying Kelly lacks vocal skill. That would be a ludicrous comment. Kellys inauguration performance slayed Beyonces. Kellys a great vocalist and i love her warm, earthy tones. She just is clearly not as technically skilled. Me saying that does not make me a stan, you being a Kelly fan does not mean you can not accept that.

    ReplyDelete
  53. It's completely subjective and also a matter of taste, whilst I like Beyonce I don't think she is anywhere near the level of Kelly in regards to vocal ability, you just have to check out Kelly's ability to cover just about any song and deliver on the money every time. Her voice can access pretty much any part of her range without strain (other than this performance - which for Kelly is a rarity). Beyonce on the other hand I feel takes her voice and delivers it in a very generic manner, and her runs are just far too overkill, often detracting from the emotion and unfortunately the melody in a lot of cases. Thats why I prefer Kelly, when she delivers I believe and feel every single word she is singing, not something I feel from Bey at all.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I want another "Since You've Been Gone" by Kelly. I need some catchy rocky songs from her because I find her very irrelevant.

    ReplyDelete
  55. All of your points used to argue for Kelly having greater vocal ability in your opinion were down to stylistic choices by each singer, their musicality, which is something wholly separate from technical ability. That would explain why you are taking issue with me saying that Beyonce is more vocally skilled. On a technical front she is. Greater control, pitch accuracy, agility, better spaced and controlled vibrato, superior volume control and resonance. All audible and measurable quantities so we're dealing with fact there. What youre talking about is your preference for how Kelly uses her instrument, which is opinion and down to personal tastes and experiences which shape your opinion. No one can argue with you over your opinion :)

    ReplyDelete
  56. Actually dude...you did not add that 'comparatively'' to your statements.
Indeed what I post are my personal opinions regarding my taste. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  57. Well I am not going down the argument road, totally pointless and a waste of my positive energy. What you like is one thing what I like is another...You speak of Beyonce's voice as if it is perfection, which it might just be, but I prefer a natural quality in ones voice, added to the fact I prefer the soprano voice to that of the mezzo voice, which tends to bore me in its limitations (for most singers). I rather enjoy Kellys explosive upper belts, they make my sould take stock!

    ReplyDelete
  58. Looking at my disqus history of comments i can assure you i did. I stated "Kelly Clarkson comparatively lacks the vocal skill and worldwide mainstream impact culturally and in commercially. Simply preferring her tone and music is not sufficient reason to give her a greater nod than Beyonce." Again. We all make mistakes. No worries Opie :)

    ReplyDelete
  59. Speaking of which, I just redone Kelly's vocal profile and mailed it to DD, hopefully he will update it soon! Let me know what you think when it gets the upgrade :)

    ReplyDelete
  60. Hmmm I am feeling something familiar about this particular users method of commenting, I suspect a previous poster with a different name, what you think?

    ReplyDelete
  61. Hadn't noticed a similarity to earlier posters but now that you mention it...
But it IS clear dude's here to anti stan me personally. I'm very flattered. :-)

I think he is really a buddy of Arthur. The one he mentioned who's opinion he had asked about an expression I had used.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Ah don't worry I got your back! I mean we are both known for our potent opinions at times but at least we have the capacity to get a point across without being condescending or plainly obnoxious....even if it is of a subtle nature...

    ReplyDelete
  63. Lol cheers Stuey! I'd start to feel stalked by the dude if it wasn't so awfully flattering.

The fact that he in his efforts to get to me already managed to be condescending to you and about DD is interesting. I have tangled with the blinkers of stans. I never had a personal anti stan. Looks like that variety is as delusional as the regular stans are

    ReplyDelete
  64. I've never met this person...
You are aware there are many Beyonce fans out there right? She is one of the most popular artists in the world after all.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Again! I posed a supposition for the impression of rbautz that she sounds more hoarse ''the last two years''.
And asked what he thinks of that explanation. Because I've heard that ''hoarseness'' in videos older than two years ago.
Seeing as the album she was saying sounded robotic was 2009's All I Ever Wanted and the one closer to her live voice was 2011's Stronger...it seemed like a fair question.

    ReplyDelete
  66. And again youre highlighting my point. Your failing to distinguish between technical ability and musicality/stylistic choices. The former is based in fact and is measurable, the latter is all down to an individuals tastes and preferences. All your points in favour of Kelly are focused on musicality, with that in mind if someone states that Beyonce is superior on a technical level (which she clearly is) be objective and admit that. What you did was come storming in and talking of how Kellys superior whilst referring to her musicality. Learn the difference.

    ReplyDelete
  67. You should feel flattered im giving you my attention. If you enjoy your time in the limelight, carry on with your bs and i'll be right behind you :)

    ReplyDelete
  68. And look how these petty chicks down voted your comment for no reason. We have never met either in person or online before but i gotta say, after seeing how this alleged adult "Opie" reveled in responding to you with condescension and smugness even after you revealed you were just 15 i had to switch from being just a reader to a registered member. I will gleefully take down that chick and her groupies and do so with a smile on my face. :)

    ReplyDelete
  69. I expect no less seeing as it is I who most seems to draw your attention.:-)
I'm especially flattered you going for my position as 'most hated for abrasiveness'' on this blog.
I'm guessing you'll come out on top there right soon.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Rofl dude...you just admitted you only registered here with the intent of ''taking me down''. Because of how I talk to Arthur here. But sure ...''you don't know him from Adam''. And I've got a nice bridge for sale. ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  71. So...where can we find the standard scale then for ''technical ability''.

Noobody here ever denied Beyonce's technical ability. But you sure belittled Kelly's ability Arthur's friend.

The reason some people care mostly about musicality is because to them that is the selling point. A singer can only sell if people like her music. Or if they are 15 and their brain hasn't fully developed yet....because of hype or peer pressure , looks of the singer, flashiness of a video etc etc.

Now you can talk about superior technical ability 'till the cows come home but only the most pretentious will sit and listen to any singer just for her technical ability.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Brian? I dont recall name dropping a soul. The fact that i merely said the word groupies and you picked that individual who i had no clue was affiliated with you speaks volumes about what you think of him. Epic fail chick. Move along ---->

    ReplyDelete
  73. I am not vying for any position at all. I just have do not take to internet bullies because i can say with a great degree of confidence that this arrogant, smug persona of yours belies both your appearance and personality in the real world. If you wish to debate then do so, the added condescension is wholly unnecessary and speaks for the repellent nature of your character. Which funnily enough also acts as lure for me to come highlight your bs. :)

    ReplyDelete
  74. Belittled Kellys ability how? Only in the mind of a stan, you stan in denial :)

I stated that in comparison to Beyonce she is evidently not as skilled on a technical level. I stated whilst also saying that Kellys technique had improved. The truth only equates to belittlement in the eyes of a fanatic who needs every word uttered about their idol to be adulation. Do please grow up or conversing with you will be somewhat of a chore. :)

    ReplyDelete
  75. Lol already you are reduced to trying to insult my appearance and personality in ''real life''. Dude you haven't even been gunning for me a full day. Good to hear you set your goals accorddingly and are not vying for anything.

Do share some more about your dislike for smugness and condescension and your dislike for bullies Arthur's Friend who declared to just having registered so he could take me and my ''groupies'' down a peg. :-)

Still waiting for you to ''highlight'' my bs btw. Or is that your tactic? Are you trying to highlight my supposed bs by demonstrating in excess what you accuse me off?
    Interesting choice.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Insulted your appearance? I dont believe i did that. The words ambiguity and comprehension come to mind. You would do well to acknowledge the former and work on the latter. That will be all :)

    ReplyDelete
  77. Oh my, exactly the same comprehension problem as Arthur.
As well as the short term memory issue.
Well, I gave up on Arthur but I will help you out just the once.I feel what with you so obsessed with me, you deserve at least that much.:-)

Brian dear Arthur's Friend, is another person you very recently demonstrated those quallities of smugness and condescension to.
And I was pointing out what a hypocrite you are. Doing so to a young poster here while declaring to register here with the purpose of bringing me and my ''groupies' down ''a peg'' because you are so deeply bothered with ''bullies'' on the net.

And in case you weren't demonstrating what a hypocrite you are but instead talked to Brian like that because you think he is one of my 'groupies'' you also desire to ''bring down a peg''...I figured in all fairness to Brian...you should know he is far from a ''groupie'' of mine.

    ReplyDelete
  78. An essay in my honour. I'd be flattered if it wasn't 99% tripe (www.thefreedictionary.com) :)

I was not smug or condescending to Brian in the slightest, we disagreed, he made his points, i made mine, i then suggested we agree to disagree, he then elaborated on the reasoning behind his opinion and i understood where he was coming from and quite humbly admitted so with no problem at all. Failed example.

As for Brians age, thats not information i am privy to, Arthur's age however was made publicly available and following that reveal you went on to use his report card to further demean him and your attitude towards him remained. That's just despicable.

Finally in making guesses as to who i was applying this groupie reference to, you singled out Brian, not me and in doing so showed exactly what you think of your adolescent cohorts.

Anything else? I will run circles around you chick. Unless you have something vaguely challenging or even interesting to bring to the table then away with you. :)

    ReplyDelete
  79. Yes, I know you think Beyonce's technique is ''comparatively'' better. But you go ahead and think that's not belittling Kelly's technique. Still waiting for those scales on which you so factually rather than in an opiniated manner proved that to be a fact.

And really dude, you are as delusional an anti me stan as you are a Beyonce stan. You are also not very bright to declare sucha lie in a tread where I agreed with at least two critical remarks and brought forth one myself.
What I did not do, unlike actual stans, is attribute anything to Kelly that isn'ttthere. Nor did I fail to make clear all positive opinions I utter are no more than my personal opinions. I never declared to speak for world opinion or even other Kelly fans. :-)

You continue to make a fool of yourself. And worse so, you don't even do so out of love for a favorite artist but out of hatred for some anonymous poster on the internet.
Tsk tsk tsk foolish AND sad.

    ReplyDelete
  80. I wrote 'attempted''. Want to try lecturing me on comprehension again Arthur's Friend? :-) :-)

    ReplyDelete
  81. If i was to say Kellys technique is sh*t and lacking then that would be belittling it. Me stating clearly that Kelly is a great vocalist who i enjoy but stating that her technique is not as good as Beyonce's is not belittling her in the slightest. Only in the misguided/delusional/piteous eyes of a stan. Or the worst kind, a stan in sheeps clothing. Take a bow :)

I have already remarked on here in conversation the technical factors in which Beyonce is superior, resonance, pitch control, agility, volume control, ease between registers and her mastery of numerous operatic vocal techniques and embellishments that she regularly employs in her work. Anyone with any modicum of vocal knowledge beyond the average can verify this as its quite audible.

If you are failing to pick up on any of this then that is down to a shortcoming in your knowledge and yet you continue to debate on the subject like you know your sh*t. Take a step back and address that. I am not here to cater for your mental deficit :)

Im making a fool of myself? To whom? Some unknown internet entities? Some disqus avatars and text on my screen? Child please. I am on here laughing away as you drag you from thread to thread over all of these topics.

Dont be disheartened though. You at least serve to amuse me :)

    ReplyDelete
  82. Yes truly as delusional as any stan. But I am quite confident in leting the readers decide for themselves exactly how condescending and smug you were in said exchange. As well as on how ''humble''

Again with the comprehension...I made no guesses regarding who you count as a ''groupie'' of mine. Since that group only exists in you and Arthur's mind, I wouldn't know who you guys decided are in that group.
I just pointed out the logical conclusion. If you talk on a condescending and smug manner to someone, based on your own admittance, that is either you thinking it is one of the people you registered here in order to ''bring down a peg''or it is you being a hypocrite.

You must be awfully bored if you are responding this fanatically to what you declare to not be even interesting or vaguely challenging?
Sorry for you Arthur's Friend. Maybe if Beyonce wasn't so boring you'd be watching her instead eh? ;- D

Don't worry though, in spite of your ''dismissing'' me or expressed hopes I go ''away'', I'm here for you. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  83. And yet that still does not address my counter as there was not conclusively either an attempt or explicit insult regarding your appearance in the first place.

Commendable attempt at being clever. But once again your attempt failed.

    Come again :)

    ReplyDelete
  84. As long as you need to lie, make more and more personal attacks and contradict yourself...yes, you are making a fool of yourself. That would pretty much be a definition of the practice '''making a fool of yourself'' Arthur's Friend.

Lacking the ability to understand that you don't actually know whether a singer is capable of doing what they have the musicality to not choose to d, is another way to make a fool of yourself. You no doubt up and coming miscomprehension of the previous line will be another.

Like Stuey also pointed out, you can only judge the technical skill a singer chooses to demonstrate. Kelly manages to do most of the time what she sets out to do. Just like Beyonce most of the time does.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Logical on which planet? Because in a separate thread i debated with this guy? Yep i can completely see how that is logical :\

I was neither smug or condescending, i have already relayed the sequence of interactions i had with this guy you claim as your groupie and see no need to explain myself any further. Continue to dwell in your misconception. Makes not the slightest bit of difference to my day :)

The boring Beyonce with a sell-out worlwide tour without the aid of a new single or album? Kelly could never. Dwell on that chick.

To be honest i have unleashed farts more challenging and interesting than any of your "rebuttals" but if you continue to reply, i will gladly aid you in highlighting your foolishness :)

  86. A typical desperate stan measure. My artist might not have shown she can do this, but thats cos she chooses not to do so for artistic reasons :\

    GTFO here with that BS.

Are you guys reading this? Is this chick serious.

Do not ever try and present yourself as anything but the psychotically deluded stan you so clearly are.

I think Britneys got a 5 octave range but in keeping with the non singing pop chick movement of the 90's she so fully embraced and gained massive commercial success from she restricts her ability for the art. :\

    Lmaoooooooooooooo

We can only go by what an artist has demonstrated they are capable of. You cannot make up for your goddesses shortcomings through debating with guesswork hopes and dreams.

  87. Okidokey why don't you explain what my ''real life appearance'' has to do with a trait like my supposed arrogance. And even pertains in anyway to anything discussed.
And how any expression of confidence in any knowledge on the ''real life appearence'' of an anonymous poster on the internet does not fall under the header arrogance.
And then I will spell out to you what is blatant to almost every reader of your comment. :-)

  88. Dont assume to speak for other readers. Take responsibility for your own bs. The statement can be interpreted in a variety of different ways, if your mental capacity cannot process the statement in more than one way then im sorry but its not my job to accommodate your shortcoming. Take steps to address that :)

  89. Sorry but clearly you did not see the logic. It's there though. On planet Earth. To those able to think logically.
Unfortunately that does not include you as I very clearly did NOT claim Brian as one of my supposed ''groupies'''. I in fact twice stated the very opposite.
A sense of disappoiintment has started to set in.You are turrning out to be not nearly the opponent you promised to be. Adding lack of basic logic comprehension to your lies, twisting and personal insult attempts.

Lol and that's another disappointment. Turns out you are incredibly easily played stan. Did you really think I would participate in a pissing match about who sells more tickets and or albums? Rofl

And then Arthur's Friend had to resort to repeat a claim he still has to deliver on combined with a crudity.
    Oh dear :-(

    ReplyDelete
  90. You put two and two together and came to an unjustified foolish conclusion that suggests a lot about how you view that individual.

I was not attempting to get you to play in any pissing match, because the result of that would be a foregone conclusion. So with that in mind you never fail to amuse in attempting to be clever and failing miserably in your conclusions :)

Carry on my court jester. You serve me well :)

    ReplyDelete
  91. Lol yes, that's the miscomprehension I predicted your response to be. So obsessed in your stanning for Beyonce that you never realized I did not mention Kelly or made any claim regarding her but made a general point about your arrogant assumption.
Thanks for playing into my hand Arthur's Friend..

    ReplyDelete
  92. You really ought to make up your mind. Am I uninteresting or are you glued to my every comment.

And again such a blatant lie. Of course you wanted to engage me in a pissing match dude. That much again is clear to anybody bothering to still read your nonsense.
    Anyway...you're welcome:-)

  93. Except for the fact that the context of our conversation was Kelly and Beyonce, except for us being in a thread about Kelly and your last paragraph very much referred to Kelly explicity :\ loool.

My last post slayed and highlighted your tomfoolery (thefreedictionary.com)

and with no counter hours later, you have fabricated a situation where you have allegedly gotten me to fall into some alleged trap that is beyond your capability and that i have just proven is utter bull :)

Thank you for continuing to amuse as you talk and talk and attempt to play above your station whilst only succeeding in proving each and every one of my points.

Everyone give the jester a round of applause! :)

    ReplyDelete
  94. I already addressed the dilemma i find myself in. You provide no challenge, you are utterly uninteresting and yet you have such a high opinion of yourself i cant help but respond and find amusement in your sloppy attempts to maintain this status you believe you have on this forum my dear.

You are sparring above and beyond your weight class and it shows.

    Commendable attempt though, bravo! :)

    ReplyDelete
  95. Lol okay I will spell it out for you. I am aware it can be interpreted in several ways. And as I deliberatedly mentioned just so I could bring it up once you responded like a Beyonce stan would.
And like I predicted, you did just that.
    You've been played Arthur's Friend.

And on top of that the point I made is actually a generally valid one. You arrogantly assume to know the technical level of a singer who chooses to sing in a style which simply doesn't cater to showing of technical ability but musicality instead.
A singer who was trained in classical singing and was offered a full scholarship to three schools. One of which being Berklee school of music. One of the best music schools which offers it's scholarships on the basis of audition. A fact which clearly indicates there might be something there not demonstrated in pop/country music performances. And you are not aware of.

  96. You declaring all kinds of claims and supposed victories don't make them fact Arthur's Friend.
It only convinces those weak in reading and reasoning. :-)
Which would be your kind of people but not really anybody whose opinion I care about.
That's why I'm not bothering addressing your nonsensical claims.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Guess your impatience for my attention lead you to post this right before or at the same time I posted my reply Arthur's Friend. And what a good friend you are posting that link to a dictionary for him. It is indeed likely he will be unfamiliar with the word.

Anyway, still little but hollow boasts, equally hollow claims of victory and assorted attempts at personal insult from you. :-(

Much like your favorites Beyonce and Arthur, I gave you a chance but alas, you ,like them, consistently failed to deliver on the boastful promises made, very quickly became repetitive, are boring me and failed to ever move me even slightly.

I will get back to you soon as you actually have something to say which deserves more of my attention than, possibly, a quick read. So don't stop trying now dude. :-)
    Thanks for all your effort!

  98. Yes, indeed! I find it pathetic that one would appear here just for the "fun" of being obstructive to the cause itself...some people should learn what the word "insignificant" means, as that is exactly what they are ;)

    ReplyDelete
  99. Yes and people engaging in games should learn the rules first. In the game ''taking a peg down'' the first one having to resort to personal insult and selfproclaimed ''victory'' in fact declares himself the loser. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  100. Two of the biggest divas. In every way.
Feel free to downvote this. I expect a ton of downvotes.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Lol I'd almost be tempted to be ''played'' like that. Almost.
Instead I will not vote at all but just post that this strikes me personally as an absolutely correct statement of fact. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  102. I think the renditions before her stronger era were more raspy, like Adele's rendition in general. But when you look up Jonathan Ross show Turning Table that's hoarse or some of the RAH songs (strangely not all songs).

    ReplyDelete
  103. You lost me completely now. Are you saying Kelly sounded raspy before Stronger came out and hoarse after Stronger?
