Christina Aguilera opened the NBA All Star Game with a medley of New York-centric songs at Madison Square Garden, yesterday.
Looking back on form, the Diva gave us choreography and all of her trademark vocal ticks- slides, grunts and the obligatory closing high note. And as happy as I was to see Christina back on stage serving her brand of entertainment, her mid-range tone was unfortunately not to my liking, being bunged up, leaden and sluggish. Quite an issue when the majority of the vocal was conducted from here.
Still, she definitely got the audience hyped- which was her job- and I am genuinely excited to see Christina Aguilera back on our screens, doing what she clearly loves! Now we just need some new material!
