Lady Gaga's Perfect Illusion has debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at number 15, one week after its release. Today sees the push for the first single from her upcoming fifth studio album, Joanne, continue, with Illusion's visuals being released.
Directed by Ruth Hogben and Andrea Gelardin, the video was filmed in a desert (I ain't checking which) over two days. With a stripped back aesthetic and some mild moshing, it's clearer now that Gaga was aiming for a "realer", "authentic" feel with the project.
