[Watch] Pink Performs "Try" @ American Music Awards 2012

Pink never fails to amaze me with her drive and ambition. I don't know many (any?) artist who would dare to bring the intense and dangerous choreography from  her exceptional music video Try to a live stage. But being the crazy S.O.B that she is, Pink did just that for her performance at the 2012 American Music Awards.

This Diva is one seriously inspiring performer/vocalist who continues to lift the "standards" bar with her dedication to her craft; all without relying on sex, costume or shock tactics to do so. I really hope that others in the audience were taking note.

Very proud of Pink and can not wait to see her in concert next year.

  1. You know P!nk really does not get the credit she deserves, I know people say that about a lot of artists but in this case it is one hundred percent true.

She is a fantastic artist that crafts her own ideas (whilst borrowing some but respectfully replicating rather than ripping off), writes some bloody amazing songs and has a brilliantly distinctive and rather beautiful voice.

This performance could not have been done by anybody else, not with this class and dedication to the theme. As you say anyone else trying this would have either sexed it up to stupid levels or added some gimmicky costumes or cheesy breakdown...LOVE this!

  2. It was the best performance if you take account from every aspect including choreography. But she was quite breathless due to the dancing. The guy was hawt too. I sound gay. Oh well I don't care. LMFAO.

  3. P!nk is absolute proof that vocals come down to determination and training. An artist has no excuse to sound bad live unless its due to their vocal health or their laziness.

  6. Brilliant show on her part. It takes a lot of drive to stay on point and have a lot of choreography to execute. She clearly has been watching after her vocals and taking care of herself physically. I am not going to sneeze at that!

  9. Amazing performance, she has become a really good dancer/performer. I really think she deserves more credit for what she does. She has really evolved both as an artist through the years, while her old peers have fallen and lost their way.

I just wish she had had a better mic, because her voice wasn't really clear and the music was a little bit loud in comparison. Otherwise, a perfect performance, together with Kelly the best of the night.

  11. Pink is the only Diva that I look forward to see performing. It's a shame I'm not too keen on her music. I really wish Pink would just do one more R&B flavored track. I love Family Portrait, Catch me While I'm Sleeping, and Let Me Let You Know.... lawd.. it's a classic!!!
