Beyonce Confirmed To Have Lip-Synced At Obama Inauguration

How quickly things can change in a day. Yesterday saw Beyonce sing her heart out during the President's Inauguration and, as a result of it, gain worldwide acclaim for her stirring rendition of The Star-Spangled Banner.

There were murmurs that she in fact "lipped" the entirety of the anthem, but those who dared to say so were called out as haters and swiftly silenced with links to glowing reviews of the performance. After all, if major publications didn't comment on anything but the power of the rendition, who were you to say different!

However, those individuals have now been vindicated as it  was confirmed, by a spokeswoman for the Marine Corp Band, that it was indeed playback B was miming along to;

...it was standard procedure to record a backing track and Beyoncé decided shortly before her performance to rely on the studio version rather than risk singing it live on the Capitol.

So how do you guys feel about this? I'm not overly bothered, as a lot of Divas have lipped the Star Spangled Banner. But I will now categorically say Kelly Clarkson slayed Beyonce with her live rendition of Country Tis of Thee [Here]. I'm also a little upset that the dramatic pulling out of the ear monitor- before Beyonce really ramped up the vocals- was all for show. That moment gave me chills originally, but now leaves me feeling slightly manipulated and complicit in this PR nightmare.

Beyonce, you are definitely one of the best/most convincing lip-syncers of this generation of vocalists! Kudos to you and your kin! And as this new era continues to get messier and messier, I say "Roll on Super Bowl 2013".

  1. ALL HER ISH WILL SOON COME OUT. Bangladesh just told TGJ Beyonce takes UNDESERVED CREDITS. BACKLASH AINT COMING, IT'S HERE!

  2. I'm very disappointed. Still love her though.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Blimey! Best lipsynch ever!! The large pop-shield on the mic helps (it hides her mouth a bit) but nevertheless, they will have to re-announce the oscars and give her a nomination for that performance.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Calm down, so many great artists have lip synced. Is Mariah a fraud? Is Whitney a fraud?

    ReplyDelete
  5. Well I don't think it's so bad to be a fraud then.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Well, your absolutely free to disagree. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  7. You're entitled to your opinion, but that won't change the hearts of the millions of Beyonce fans in the world ;)

    ReplyDelete
  8. LOL I don't think I ever was under the impression millions of Beyonce fans will read my comments on this blog. Nor that if they did, reading my opinion would change their minds. I can truthfully say, yes...there still IS such a thing ;-), never even had the intent to change even just your mind. All we are doing as far as I am concerned is exchanging views. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  9. What I was hoping you would interpret from my comment was no matter how much you hate on Beyonce, she will remain the iconic figure she is. There is some validity in your point, she shouldn't have lip synced, but that doesn't mean she's a bad person.

    ReplyDelete
  10. I just gotta say this....This is another reason to ENVY her....Not only is her voice breath taking...she's an amazing lip syncer....lol

    ReplyDelete
  11. Yes, wasn't it obvious I got what you were saying and was ressponding to it? I don't give my opinion with a mind to change her fans' view of her.
And yeah...call me oldfashioned but doing 'bad' tyhings is what makes one a 'bad' person

    ReplyDelete
  12. Honestly, I am not surprised, no wonder you're so pessimistic. LOL. But seeing as this is a music blog, not a religious blog, I will not argue that point. You can claim to be rational all you want.

And I see, you're one of those.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Lol too bad, I'd love to see you how you'd argue the existence of 'the devil''' :-)
    One of ''those'' ???

    ReplyDelete
  14. I'm surprised a bit, but not truly.

Have you heard the rehearsal audio? Sounds pretty close to the final performance.

    ReplyDelete
  15. She really is perfect, lol

    ReplyDelete
  16. You're ridiculous, I'm not going to debate religion on a music blog! Are you mad?
Those, as in pop music haters. I've dealt with my fair share of you in my young life.
No I'll cling to the word I used, pessimist. You keep on looking down at great things ;)

    ReplyDelete
  17. Haha...I was joking.I have had my share of discussions on religion in my no doubt way longer life and have equally little interest in any serious discussion on the subject here.

And there's plenty popmusic I like. Just not fakers.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Good to see some sense in that noggin of yours.
And well, I don't think you should completely disregard a singers talent because of a few acts of, for lack of a better word, "fakery".

    ReplyDelete
  19. I'm sure in your view it does but I am only talking about her life in music. And musically imo her bad outweighs her great technique.

You're still not getting it...what Beyonce's fans think of her has absolutely nothing to do with my opinion! Either way! It is beside the point.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I have nothing against Rhianna, I like her music, and I think she's a good singer.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Well, I do. I think there are only 24 hours in day, I have only that much time I can spent listening to music. I choose to spent it on the great many wonderful singers who aren't prone to faking.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Well clearly you have listened to Beyonce at one point or another, otherwise, you wouldn't be able to hate on her so much.
I can't change your musical taste, so I'm just gonna stop this argument here.

    ReplyDelete
  23. No need to be dismissive, you're the one who brought up the subject, which is basically an open invitation for my input.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Again...it's not meant to 'get me anywhere''.

Look...I don't want to go there but I have more points of contention with Beyonce than her music. I tried from the sart to make it clear I am simply stating my opinion but that as far as I am concerned anybody else is free to enjoy her to teirheart's content. Why can't you letit be and rrespect my opinion as well? Because I kinda like you and don't want to fight with you.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Again' I don't hate her music...I just find her voice itself nothing particularly special and her material can't hold my attention. Not musically and certainly not lyrically. The lyrics are not particularly clever and the subject matter has little correlation with my reality.
That's not hate...that's more like indifference.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Awww, how touching. Okay. I'll stop.
Just don't set me out as the bad guy here, I was not trying to get in a fight. I was simply defending an artist I really really really REALLY, admire. It's only natural I "stan" for her. Lol

    ReplyDelete
  27. Not setting you out as the bad guy, I am telling you I don't want to be the ''bad guy'' either today. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  28. Nope you brought up the subject of hate. I just tried to clarify I do not hate Beyonce. You want me to be more expansive...I think Rhianna is a low life with an overgrown ego and udeserved position in the world and a mouth too foul for my taste and she lacks any redeeming quality for her 'bad' acts.

Do you note the difference between my views on Rhianna and what I have said of Beyonce? The former is hate. The latter is not

    ReplyDelete
  29. Well, a plagiarist, and now an attention whore. I mean, it's alright to lip... but FAKING PULLING THE EAR MONITOR? SHEESH not even lipping queen Mimi does that.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Good singer???? I guffaw.
Beyonce, now Rihanna. You seriously have... ordinary tastes.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I knew that something was wrong with the audio, it sounded like it didn't come from the mic completly. I don't like that she lipsynced but I understand why she chose to do it... and I think that she could have sung live as well or even better than in the recorded track (as her performance at SuperBowl 2004 proofs).

Also, in several pages I'm reading that the mic was actually on and she sang over the pre-recorded track (http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-207_162-57565248/beyonce-lip-synced-national-anthem-at-inauguration-marine-band-says/) and listening to the performance again carefully, I can tell that she was in fact singing live but the sound that we heard was a blend of both the pre-recorded track and her voice.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Beyonce is a great singer, I think that goes without saying. Rihanna is a good singer. She's improved so much, and that's something you can't deny. Had this been 2007/2008, I would not think this way. Have you listened to her last 3 albums at all?

    ReplyDelete
  33. I dont know why everyone is surprised, she done this several times before. Especially on the some of her songs she is dancing heavily. I think yall are fooled by her raddling and bobbing her head to the vibrato, made it look real.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Yeah, whenever she does that it convinces the heck of me.

    ReplyDelete
  35. A public information officer for the Marine Corps told CBS News: "The
Presidential Inaugural Committee (PIC) requested that the Marine Band
accompany Beyonce Knowles-Carter in the performance of the Star-Spangled
Banner at the 2013 Inaugural Ceremony. However, there was no
opportunity for Ms. Knowles-Carter to rehearse with the Marine Band
before the Inauguration so it was determined that a live performance by
the band was ill-advised for such a high-profile event. Each piece of
music scheduled for performance in the Inauguration is pre-recorded for
use in case of freezing temperatures, equipment failure, or extenuating
circumstances. Regarding Ms. Knowles-Carter's vocal performance, no one
in the Marine Band is in a position to assess whether it was live or
    pre-recorded."

    ReplyDelete
  36. It may not be anymore, I mean lot of vocalist, im going to call Bey a vocalist rather people agree or not, voice quaility can demenish as they age. Bey is not old by any means but she is no longer the young songbird anymore. She may just be out of her prime. Kind of how Mariah and Celine. IDK

    ReplyDelete
  37. But she hasn't damaged her cords in any way. I understand that she might not have the voice she used to, but there is no physical damage to the cords, other than what a singer typically goes through.

    Whereas Mariah has nodules.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Beyonce is a good VOCALIST. She doesn't really have much of an emotional connection to any of her music, and is thus unable to emote well (IMO anyways.) That is her great deficiency as a singer- she's overly technical.

Rihanna... improvement does not a good singer make, sorry.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Well, Whitney did lipsync her much praised Superbowl peformance back when she was perfectly fine... Are you Beyoncé's personal doctor to tell that her voice that day was in good, healthy state?

    ReplyDelete
  40. I mean, this is all my opinion, so yeah...
You're the authority on who's a good singer and who's not.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Haha, yeah, some people here are pretty quick to judge,

    ReplyDelete
  42. Bahaha every time she's exposed for being a fraud I see this basic defense from her stans: "No matter what she does, people will still love her". So? she's still a fraud. I have to admit that Beyonce is quite talented at lip syncing, all those years of it have allowed her to perfect this skill. However, I believe that there is no excuse for lip singing, none what's so ever. It's disingenuous and it defeats the purpose of performing live (key word here). If I paid to see a singer live and they do not deliver live vocals, I can guarantee you that they will never receive a dime from me ever again.

    ReplyDelete
  43. hahahaha I literally LOL'ed hahahaha

    ReplyDelete
  44. Well, Beyonce has a bad track record as far as credibility goes.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Come at me: http://gifsoup.com/view2/1183275/beyonce-nail-file-o.gif

    ReplyDelete
  46. It's not her voice that day; it's her vocal cords in general. Beyonce has good technique, and has had a lot of vocal rest. I find it hard to believe she could have somehow mauled her cords during her hiatus.

I don't particularly like Whitney, so whatever. But I know that MC sang mostly live back when her cords still had a semblance of healthiness (the 90-97 period). Hint, hint, Beyonceeee....

    ReplyDelete
  47. I defend Beyonce, because I admire her you twat. I'm pretty sure any fan of any artist woud do that. Anyways, there are many reasons as to why she might have lip synced. Which by the way, if you cared to find out more about has not been confirmed. Don't be so quick to judge.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Need I remind you that Bey has been in the industry since 1997. Who's to say that her vocal chords havent been damaged. Mariah released Charmbraclet when she was 32 which is the album where critics noticed the demie of her voice. Do you know what age Beyonce is? 32 booboo. And shesb been in the industry for 15 years.

    ReplyDelete
  49. My dad died, from what I was told by my aunt he was the nicest man on the face of the earth (Daddy). My mom cheated on him, so he left her (Resentment). My aunt and uncle are the absolute sweetest people on earth, they are the model couple in my opinion. (Cater 2 U)

    ReplyDelete
  50. Child, do not speak of what you do not know.
Mariah has confirmed she has had nodules since she was a CHILD. The damage was there throughout her career, and only became apparent around the BUTTERFLY era. Yes, Charmbracelet was where it was noted, but it was audible even during the Butterfly era. And anyone who didn't hear it in Rainbow and Glitter is deaf.

Beyonce, on the other hand, has nice, healthy vocal cords. And she hasn't abused her voice the way Mariah has.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Those seem to me to be shallow connections, especially the second and the third. From what you said, I gather you don't know much of your father (as your aunt has to tell you he's a nice person.) How can you be emotionally vested in him, in that case, to be able to connect to a Beyonce song you feel represents his situation?

Also, while you may think your aunt and uncle are a 'model couple', you aren't privy or witness to much of the dynamics in their relationship, meaning you can't really judge.

Lastly, IMO you made these up.

    ReplyDelete
  52. How does atheism make you pessimistic? I'm not atheistic, but I'm agnostic, and I'm extremely optimistic.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Nothing happened. I still say she was a great singer early in her career but whenever she faked it...she was being a faker. There's a difference between being a fan and being a stan.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Of course he made them up. Dude's one big faker himself. He's no 15 either. I'm pretty sure he is the same individual with that account that keeps posting under a different name (linda-katie-deathnes-anthonsavage-whatever-riri-riritheslayer).
When he's not trying on internet slang...the writing style is exactly the same. He's a troll and a fairly experienced one at that is my guess.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Did I say you are foolish for looking up to those songs? No, I did not. And if you are really 15...it is totally age appropriate to make such shallow connections.
What I said was that I am not 15.

    ReplyDelete
  56. I actually don't fin it that shocking if Beyonce lip-synced. Maybe she wasn't on the top of her game and instead of making a fool of herself in front of so many people she decided to give a brilliant perfomance. We all know she is a wonderful singer and not only on her CDs. She has proven to be incredble also life. So cut her some slack.

    ReplyDelete
  57. You mean instead of possible not singing perfectly and thereby make a ''fool of herself'' in the eyes of the immature, she decided not to sing at all and instead make a fool of herself in the eyes of a different demographic.

    ReplyDelete
  58. It wouldn't be Beyonce if some controversy didn't come out of it :')
The BBC (about the only news outlet I trust) have done quite a good article on it: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-21141707
And as it says the original spokeswoman "did not state outright that Beyonce mimed her part of the performance.", newspapers are pretty well known for taking quotes and pulling assumptions and information out with a certain amount of artistic licence and proclaiming it as fact! So its definitely a question of did she mime rather than a fact. I don't think we will ever know for sure whether she did or didn't, all I know is it was a great performance either way! :)

    ReplyDelete
  59. I mean, it has not been confirmed that she has lip synced. If you read the story on different sources, you'll here different things. If she did lip sync, I'm okay with it.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Are you saying that there is no in her 15 year long career of intensive everyday singing, there is no way she damaged her voice? Her voice from Dangerously In Love is very different from her voice in 4.

    ReplyDelete
  61. I mean, these aren't songs that I hold near and dear to my heart. Obviously there are other songs I feel very connected to. These are merely songs that make me feel when I here them.

And lmfao, that's your argument, I don't witness their relationship, I live with them...
And okay, there is nothing, absolutely NOTHING, more offensive, then to call the death of your father "made up". Instead of making a vile remark about you, I'll be the better man and allow you to apologize.

    ReplyDelete
  62. You are a genius in every sense of the word :')

    ReplyDelete
  63. Athiests generally tend to have a more negative outlook on the world. Perfectly understandable, they don't believe in anything.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Well yeah but you don't usually find too many people being fans of someone they think is a fake or fraud.

    ReplyDelete
  65. I'll always remember Mimi at the American Movie Awards in 2005. He wires were not hooked up at all so she just pulled them all out mid-performance and winged the rest. Funny!

    ReplyDelete
  66. Everyone's blaming it on the cold weather... Yeah, of course cold air makes it very difficult to sing, your vocal colds stiffen up like the rest of your body, but Kelly clearly had no issues...

    ReplyDelete
  67. This right here is called covering your a$$. They initially give a reason as to WHY she lip synchs then go on to say oh well we don't know whether she did. I'm guessing Mrs. Carter had a hissy fit lolol. I think Beyonce is one of the best performers when she's doing upbeat songs and dancing. For me she's totally incapable of delivering deeper material for whatever reason. She always comes off as so disingenuous and contrived. Her and that pillow baby ;D

    ReplyDelete
  68. I think what pisses me off the most is how convincing she made it look. Like, she went out of her way to lie to everyone by being all dramatic while singing. I wasn't surprised, however, seeing as Beyoncè has lipped several times before, most notably at the 2011 VMAs.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Yes, the spokeswoman for the marine corps band said it was. The organiziing commitee left it in the middle.
I'm going with the band spokeswoman as the more reliable source over a commitee that stands to possible lose more if criticism turns out to be severe.
Don't think the need to worry though. Most of society has been sufficiently prepared and doesn't give a hoot. Like they didn't over Whitney's fakery eiither.
You're not caring has been sufficiently driven home . I got it. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  70. Yes you do. They just usually either pretend it away or excuse it.
Anyway just to be clear..if by fan you mean folloowing a career and owning a substantial amount of their work, checking out their every media performance...never was that kind of fan of Mariah past her first album.
Only 5 I have been that kind of fan. ABBA, Streisand, Maria mcKee, Kate Bush and Alison Krauss

    ReplyDelete
  71. Yes, there is that small problem with many of the excuses one now hears. ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  72. You are a moron. Atheists don't believe in any gods/fairrytales.That is not the same as not believing in anything.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Well if you are indeed 15, perhaps you should stop talking as if you know all that much about ''atheists' and human psychology.
I am afraid you claiming another poster here knowing your real age is hardly convincing to someone who I suspect to already be operating with at least two accounts.
But hey...only you know the truth. Unfortunately...the word of someone not only defending fakery but repeatedly stating to be just fine with frraud...hmmmm

    ReplyDelete
  74. This is so not a big deal lol. Singers lipsync all the time. It was probably a one shot recording too... not a perfected studio recording. So it might not have been live but it was raw.

    ReplyDelete
  75. You just sort of defeated the purpose. What I was saying was someone that an individual perceives as a fake, a phony, an individual that deserves no merit. By pretending it doesnt exist or making an excuse for it, they reject the existence of any proof of this and in turn they do not believe that the person is a fake. Which is why I think its hard to find people like that because the common person usually removes things like this out of their lives. At least the community I come from anyways.

    ReplyDelete
  76. If Beyonce does have damage to her cords then Its clearly minor. You can actually Hear the damage in Mariahs voice in her speaking. Its always been like that. Even when she gets enough rest she has a very prominant rasp and it presents herself in her singing too. Beyonce lacks even a hint of rasp, has crystal clear notes, and has shown great stamina with her performing. Just because you are past your prime doesnt mean your voice will be nearly as deteriorated as someone whos had nodules theyre entire lives.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Did you not learn context clues in grade school?
We were talking about religion, so obviously, when I say "They don't believe in anything." I meant pertaining to religion.
This is besides the point, I know your thirst for starting arguments grows, but unlike you I have sense. I'm not going to argue about religion on a music blog, okay?

    ReplyDelete
  78. I like to think I know quite a bit about Atheism and human psychology. Maybe you didn't do this at my age, but I like to read up on things.

And I assure you, I am not operating on two accounts. For whatever reason you suspect that, you're an idiot. About the two upvotes, I know for a fact that I like my own comments, not sure about the other people who like them.
But you're right, my age doesn't matter. I just think it's funny how you would stoop so low as to argue with a 15 year old.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Well, they're different vocalists. Some are more scared about singing in the cold. I know for one that I would never consider singing in the cold.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Of course, I don't think vocal damage is the reason Beyonce decided to lip sync, if she lip synced. I just don't think it's fair people say her voice is in tip top shape when they don't know.

    ReplyDelete
  81. http://productionadvice.co.uk/beyonce-didnt-lip-sync-at-the-inauguration-but/

"…she did sing along with a pre-recorded backing.

    The Evidence:

    * When she starts singing, her voice is hard to hear – the microphone gain is too low. The sound-man quickly corrects this – but if we were listening to a recording this wouldn’t happen – in fact back-up recordings are used to solve exactly this kind of problem.

    * At 1’16″ in the video above, she tilts her head slightly closer to the mic and the sound gets suddenly more bassy. This is because of an acoustic effect known as the “proximity effect”.

*At 1’52″ she takes out one of her earpieces. Some people are citing this as more evidence she was lip-syncing, but in fact it’s what singers do when they’re having trouble hearing the pitch of their own voice through the earpiece. By taking it out, she can hear her own voice more clearly and sing in tune more easily. (In fact, if the pre-recorded vocal was going to her earpiece, she may well have been finding it distracting.)

*At 2’17″ she smiles slightly, and you can hear this “smile” in her voice."

    ReplyDelete
  82. Yeah, I just posted a link that says the same thing. I don't think she was lip syncing at all. But of course, her haters couldn't wait to get on her back. Well, now they look a tad foolish.

    ReplyDelete
  83. I don't understand why everyone took for facts something that said only person, without doing research or checking the facts. Can their hatred be so intense?

    ReplyDelete
  84. I was thinking the same thing, lol. I mean, yeah, some people just really don't like Beyonce. Any chance they get, they'll go after her.

    ReplyDelete
  85. I'll give her props for committing to it, pulling out the ear piece was a genius move.
I see Dream Girls and Obsessed prepared her well for this day.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Wow, hear yourself? So much generalization.
What a sad little child, of so obviously substandard intelligence.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Go ahead and make a vile remark.

I know that if MY parents died, I wouldn't defile his memory by using him in an ARGUMENT.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Bahaha I see that all Beyonce stans are dim witted, and you are certainly not an exception. The reasons for her lip syncing are irrelevant as far as I'm concerned; they don't make her any less of a fraud in my eyes. Also, I'm going to have to disagree with you about any fan defending their favorite artists even if they were lip singing because I definitely would not. For one, none of my favorite artists have ever lip synced, and if they did I would lose a lot of respect for them as performers.

    ReplyDelete
  89. I think a backing track is fine if the singer is dancing as well and as long as they aren't relying on it too much.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Who here thinks Blue Ivy is adopted or a cleverly mad robot say 'aye'.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Alright, I concede.

    ReplyDelete
  92. She didn't lip sync, so yeah....
And I mean, okay, but as I said before, it's ridiculous to hate an artist because they lip sync a few times. All of what I said is irrelevant, because as previously stated, she did not lip sync.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Jesus Christ people, she did not lip.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Generalization? Sad? Substandard intelligence?

In words of President Barack Obama, "Everything my opponent has said is just not true." If you'd like me to interpret that quote for you, you're wrong.

I did not generalize, I'm not a sad little child, and my intelligence, though not exceptional, is most certainly sub standard. You're no kindergarten teacher to assess that you hag.

You're a lonely lady, most likely with repressed memories of lonely teen years, that sits at home goes to blogs and starts arguments with 15 year olds. I recommend you not get personally insult me, alrighty then.

    ReplyDelete
  95. I did not use my dad to argue, Mel R , said he lol'ed very hard when I stated those songs, to which I replied with the reasons for my doing so (the reason I brought him up). Then, you came along and had the audacity to call me a liar.

Now, pretend you are in my situation, someone insults you on a personal level, on a music blog none the less. What should I do? I'll tell what I should do, let it go. You're right, I'm not going to make my dead father something to argue.
You're just a douchebag to have done what you did, live with it.

    ReplyDelete
  96. I'll accept that when there's definitive proof.

    ReplyDelete
  97. ROFL you just said your intelligence is, and I quote, "most definitely substandard".

Aaaaaaaaaaaand the truth comes out *-*

    ReplyDelete
  98. I didn't insult you on a personal level. I made a perfectly reasonable assumption that, seeing your defensiveness, is seeming more and more correct.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Wow, stop bringing your age up as an excuse that people shouldn't argue with you. It's stupid, immature, and frankly invalid. I've had people arguing with me throughout my childhood, and even now, I argue with people younger than me.

In any case, you're not much younger than some of us on this blog, little child, so I suggest you take yourself and your silly excuses elsewhere. Maybe to school, for instance, where you can not only learn about the importance of honesty (cough, cough, Beyonce) and how to act your age (and frankly, at fifteen, you shouldn't be this pathetically stannish and unintelligent. It really shows the devolution of the human brain through the generations.), but also about how atheism REALLY affects the human mind. Psychology is an elective at most high schools, you know. REAL psychology... not that teletubby-level analysis that you are no doubt dabbling in.

  100. http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2013/01/23/update-inaugural-official-says-beyonce-did-not-sing-live/ really....

    ReplyDelete
  101. It's not that all Beyonce stans are dimwitted- it's that they purposely blind themselves to all of her faults, and choose to make ridiculous comments such as, and I quote, "she really is perfect."

    ReplyDelete
  102. You seemed to accept her lip syncing when there was no definitive proof... awkward...
Do more research next time okay booboo?

    ReplyDelete
  103. You claimed you didn't generalize, but you gave no proof that you weren't. So do that now: prove to me that all atheists are negative.

Also, in your own post, you said...

"Athiests generally tend to have a more negative outlook "

That is a generalization. I guess you didn't know what the word meant.

    ReplyDelete
  104. To some extent that's correct, she did use a pre recorded version, which she over. That's the opinion AN AUDIO EXPERT has.

Now is Beyonce such an extraordinary lip syncer that she can fool an audio expert, making her think that she actually was singing? lol

    ReplyDelete
  105. I replied to your other post.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Funny enough there was a study that showed that Beyonce fans don't test well per se lol. I don't agree with the methods of sampling and how the study was done but the results none the less are funny imo.

    ReplyDelete
  107. I'm not saying that you shouldn't argue with me, I'm just saying that it makes you look bad. Especially the way you do it. How do you think your friends would think about you arguing with a 15 year old on a music blog about Beyonce lip syncing.

And wow, you honestly think I'm dumb don't you? You're intellectual capacity is a mere fraction of mine when you were my age. It's not much more than mine now.

Anyways I've taken psychology courses before, in things called summer camps. Not that I'm much good, I'm a little more qualified than you I'd say.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Innocent until proven guilty. You know, the value in which the American legal system works. Maybe you should do more research next time instead of babbling like an idiot. You do not know for certain if Beyonce has lip synced, so don't argue on the assumption that she did. Cause when word comes round that she didn't, it makes you look stupid.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Haha, yeah, well apparently I tested well enough to get in to one of the nation's most prestigious high schools.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Well, I don't think my friends would criticize me for doing so, especially since I'm actually around your age.

No, my intelligence is not 'a mere fraction' of your own, although that's perhaps what you'd like to believe. Honestly, you sound pretentious when you say things like that, especially when you have demonstrated not only a lack of intelligence, but also stannish behavior (which is inherently unintelligent).

In any case, you have the majority of the blog arguing against your points, while I don't. Why don't you take a moment to reevaluate the "intelligence" of your statements.

Summer camps are usually ill-equipped to teach such subjects. Although if you are as intelligent as you claim, you would know that.

    ReplyDelete
  111. That is NOT how the American legal system works. That's a naive view of the system. In reality, discrimination, corruption, and bigotry preempt any chance of such a concept being put into action.

Just because I'm operating on the assumption that she lipped doesn't mean I will look stupid when she begins to claim that she didn't. Especially when I'm operating under an assumption, and not actually making claims that I know 100% whether she did or not.

Conversely, you will look stannish when the truth comes out that she did ;)

    ReplyDelete
  112. I'm not arguing religion- I'm correcting your inaccurate assumptions. In any case, I'm agnostic, so I can technically claim you offended me with your statement.

    ReplyDelete
  113. I find it hard to believe that any school, let alone a prestigious one, would admit such a ridiculous stan.

Although humans are devolving in regards to intelligence, so they might have had to adjust their standards.

    ReplyDelete
  114. So apparently the associated press put out a video that showed that Beyonce "Technically" wasn't lip syncing "Depending on your definition of Lip Syncing." The people around her were the only ones able to actually hear her because it was her choice to have the studio version play OVER her live vocal which wasnt even going through the mics strong enough to be able to be picked up over the backtrack. Which is probably why the people around her started clapping...

    ReplyDelete
  115. Yeah, your link clearly has reliable sources (ironic tone)... I'm not being a crazy stan here, but that proofs nothing. They don't even say the name of whom that information came from...

    ReplyDelete
  116. Oh wow. That... defeats the purpose of singing live.
So, to the people around her, she was singing live... but to us youtubians, she was lipping?

    ReplyDelete
  117. Well all I will say here is regardless of whether she lipped or sang to a heavy backing there really was no need, Beyonce has shown herself on many occasions to be a more than adept live singer...this news comes as somewhat of a disappointment, but hey I doubt it will ruin her reputation in the long run!

    ReplyDelete
  118. First let me say, I love your comments, they make me smile hahaha. You're leaving every one of these stans bald: http://i.imgur.com/7vqCBGZ.gif

Although I'm a fan of Mariah's older material, and I do enjoy some of what she has put out in recent years (disregarding triumflop), she has been suspected of lip singing long before he vocal health deteriorated. I understand where you're coming from, and I know she cannot just disregard her back catalog of hits because they are now too vocally challenging for her to perform; however, there are other ways around this besides lip singing. Mariah has often played around with the vocal arrangements of her songs, so she can vocally arrange her songs in a way that is comfortable for her to sing live. Additionally, lots of great singers have dodged the "bigger" notes in their own songs when performing them live (Kelly Clarkson comes to mind), and although it may be initially disappointing, it does not detract from their vocal ability. Mariah has nothing left to prove as a vocalist, so if she dodges all those big notes and whistles no one will think any less of her; however, she will lose respect from fans and critics (like myself) if she lip sings.

This is totally disconnected, but I was wondering if you were a fan of any Japanese singers? and if so, who? Forgive me for generalizing, but I assumed that you might be based off of your name and avatar.

    ReplyDelete
  119. You are here to stan. And do a whole lot of lying. Both becoming more obvious the more you post.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Actually, in order to check if that could be it, I tried voting for my own comment. It doesn't work unless I come in on another device.
So if that is what you are doing, you sure are going to a lot of trouble being really awfully pathetic and much to the point...a huge faker. ( hey, you should check out that article on Beyonce's vote buying! It mentions the name of one of the people you can buy from. Maybe you can buy some votes for your comments as well)
Also...that correlates rather neatly with my suspicions now doesn't it? ;-)

As for arguing with you, I put in quite the effort initially not to. Seeing as you have a hard time remembering your own words and by your own account didn't catch on to it yet(again much like that other account), allow me to point out...it's all still here to read dude. Simply scroll!
Ignoring inanities, down talking and insults in order to not fight even.

The rest of your nonsense regarding your supposed age, intelligence and ''understanding'' of atheism and psychology Mel and Reiko already neatly dealt with.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Pretty Much. Obama got to hear Beyonce live but the crowd and the rest of America only got to hear her studio version. So she was actually dubbing.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Wish you would add some links Mel. I'd be interested but am 100% unfamiliar with the Japanese music scene. An introduction by someone familiar with it who can lead directly to some of it's finer musicians would be appriciated.
If you don't want to post them here, feel free to contact me through facebook ( opie ever)
    Or youtube maybe :-)

    ReplyDelete
  123. I'm smarter than you, you cow. No matter how much you try to belittle me, you'll just have to accept that.

    ReplyDelete
  124. I really hate sounding pretentious. But how do you expect me to combat such things as your, "you're dumb"? You really leave me no option.

See there you go again, calling me unintelligent. Honestly, that's getting very stale. Pick a different retort.

And lmfao, summer camps are ill-equipped? That's the most ignorant thing I've heard. Summer camps are usually held in (well-equipped) colleges and (well-equipped) high schools. That's why people go to summer camps...

    ReplyDelete
  125. Oh sweetie, any validity in the claim of innocent until proven guilty being at work in the US died a long long time ago ( with the many proven erronuous executions of innocent men) and got buried once and for all when that douche you quoted earlier, good friend of your idol, had an American citizen executed for a supposed crime he was accused of but hadn't been tried for yet.

    ReplyDelete
  126. It most definitely does. Doesn't work for you probably because you have an account, whereas I'm posting with my email. Before you call me pathetic, you should learn how to use a computer.
And you're honestly stupid if you think if I'm using two accounts. Perhaps DD has the answer to your question. Ask him whether the email for this username has been used for any other username. Then prepare to feel like a total moron.
    And cool.

    ReplyDelete
  127. I think it's up to me determine whether you insulted me or not. I'm telling you that I feel offended. You said I was lying about my dad's death. Do you see how that's the least bit offensive? Am I being unreasonable asking you to apologize?

    ReplyDelete
  128. I'm not saying that you cow, listen to me. We need to TRY to uphold the innocent until proven guilty. You, and your friends are the reasons that innocent until proven guilty doesn't work.
And HAHAHAHAHA. Silly silly person, executions are not in the jurisdiction of the president. If you knew anything about the death penalty, you'd know that it is a STATE LAW, not a federal law. Therefore, not only what you said was wrong, it could never be right.
Take your blindly conservative views elsewhere ;)

    ReplyDelete
  129. Rofl hardly shows much intelligence to make boasts on the internet about supposed achievements in real life. The only act dumber than that would be to believe such claims.

You are just full of such boasts, nobody here is believing them. Do the math dude.

    ReplyDelete
  130. I couldn't care less you if you believe me or not. However, if you're truly dubious, you could skype me, I could show you around my school, and while I'm at it, show that I'm indeed a 15 year old, lmfaooo. Not some old creeper like you.

    ReplyDelete
  131. LOL somehow not learning how to upvote my own comments holds little interest for me. And funnily enough...I don't feel like a moron because of it.

But I do know these things work by ips and also practically nobody these days has only one email.

    You are floundering dear

    ReplyDelete
  132. I shouldn't have to think that seeing as the SATs only focus on math, writing, and reading analysis were IQ focuses more on completely different factors. The two aren't related at all. I scored a perfect 2400 on my SATs yet I see it as completely insignificant to intelligence.

Do you realize what an outlier is? An outlier is a datum that doesn't follow the trend of the data. It is called an outlier because it doesn't go with the trend of the data. A school WOULD invest in an outlier, especially in a study regarding intelligence.

I don't see any of these things as accurate measures of intelligence, but I'll gladly throw them around if you believe being in a fancy high school means anything. Especially seeing your response to my initial comment where I disagreed with the study, only bringing it up for comedic purposes considering the context of the conversation.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Really? Yet how many comments have you spent on empty boasts in defense???

    ReplyDelete
  134. Well aren't you the hot shot? Boasting about your intelligence and perfect SAT scores. I find it impressive, and I certainly don't think any one who is dumb can score perfectly on the SAT, so I'm just going to assume for right now that you're as smart as you claim.

And I'm perfectly aware of what an outlier is. I assumed you used it in the context of schools admitting a ton of smart people, while admitting one dumb person (the outlier). You need to clarify there Mr. 10%.

And if you don't think going to a good school makes you a good student, then wow. If I went to Harvard, on merit, would you think I was smart?

BTW, I'm not trying to be an elitist right now, I don't think Harvard is the best college ever, and I certainly don't think SAT's are a good measure of intelligence.

    ReplyDelete
  135. Rofl Amazing...all that ''intelligence'' and yet not a clue.
Your douche sent a drone to do the job sweetie, thereby bypassing such legal matters.

As for me, I am not an American. Nor do I hold conservative views. Or hang on...you are probably right. What with the corrupting of such values by said douche, actually caring about human rights and such must by now be considered as oldfashioned as objecting to fakery and fraud.

And you are now not only floundering but also overstepping. You are in no position to tell me to take my views elsewhere..you big democrat you. ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  136. So I'm going to take your avoidance of the latter part of my comment as, "Yes, I concede, I was wrong." Thank you :)
Anyways, I just found some of the things you guys said offensive. As any person would, I responded vigorously.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Well that's good. At least you were wrong on a matter you don't care about :)
And you're right, I have my school email, and my personal email. If you don't believe, I don't know what to say.
Anyways, I'm far too busy to go about THAT much hassle. I'm teenager, I have stuff to do you know.

    ReplyDelete
  138. LOL I'm sure dear Arthur would have scored even better had he not had a little problem with his English. ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  139. Meh, such a big mess over a lip-synching! What if she did? Everyone knows she is a pretty capable vocalist... In the end of the day I guess this kind of reaction kinda shows how relevant she is on the pop culture...

    ReplyDelete
  140. You should make that more clear. Execution probably isn't the best word for what you speak of. Civilian casualties is a tad more politically correct.

But, having studied drones intensively, I'd say that they're very effective. They're the reason the U.S was able to find Osama Bin Laden. Also, 8 of the top 20 Al Qaeda leaders were assassinated with drones.

Again, the problem you seem to consistently demonstrate is the lack of research you do.
And you're in no position to tell me I'm floundering, considering I just trumped your entire contention. But you're right, you are free to express any thought, no matter how wrong it may be.

    ReplyDelete
  141. Well this is where we differ on opinions, I don't feel you have to be intelligent to score well on the SATs, my dearest friend who I consider far smarter than myself only scored a 1700 on her SAT and her IQ ranks drastically lower than my own. And I wouldn't call my statements boasts seeing as I dismissed them as somewhat irrelevant. There's a certain element of pride that my statements lack to make them "boasts" in my opinion.

No, I used it in the context that was most reasonable to the situation. I stated you as an outlier in the Beyonce fandom/Intelligence study, not into school admissions.

Most likely not. I see schools as measures of work ethics, not intelligence. Not saying it doesn't take brains, but a great deal of it draws from the effort put into it. My uncle went to Princeton, a fairly prestigious school, yet he is not the sharpest tool in the box.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Like stanning for Beyonce you mean? Or maybe complaining about feeling offended while ignoring how you have been insulting and talking down to people in this thread for some time. Starting way before you were unintelligent enough to come with your dad story. In fact you already called me names in earlier conversations.

Lol at you first trying on the victim role with that age argument and now with feeling ''offended''.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Yeah, 99 percentile in writing and 90 in reading is pitiful.

    ReplyDelete
  144. I never said that all smart people score, I just said that you need to be smart to score high. You can be a naturally good standardized test taker, which 99% of the time means your smart (never met a dumb one). Or you can study rigorously, which again generally means your smart. And I thought it was a little out of left that you mentioned how well you did on your IQ test, that's why I felt as if you were boasting.
And okay great, you didn't really make that clear.
And okay, then there is no way to prove to you that I am smart. By your standards, there is no way to prove any one is smart. lol

    ReplyDelete
  145. Sweetie you ARE floundering. Sending in a drone specifically to assassinate an American citizen for a crime merely accused of but not tried and convicted for is not called a ''civilian casualty''. Those would be the other couple of hundred non American murdered through drones.

Not even going to respond to your Al Qaeda imaginings. But interesting how aside from your regular school work and schoolboy things to do, your intensive stanning, skyping, intensive studying of religion, atheism, music and psychology to the extend of owning superior knowledge in all these subjects by the time you were ''15"...it now turns out you also looked into drones and terrorisme extensively. Surprisingly though...you clearly are still clueless as to the murder I was referring to.

Btw your innate attitude towards women has been noted. Perhaps next summer you too can learn what according to many psychologists is indicated by males who frequently call women who disagree with them ''cow''. And maybe also the influence of religion on such attitudes toward women.

    ReplyDelete
  146. LOL well, if that was your score and set off against your demonstrations here...I'd say you just made Reiko's case regarding the adjustments of such tests. Not that any observers of the US and/or people who are aquainted with several teachers at American colleges needed you to demonstrate the rapid decline of the American educational standards. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  147. First off you can't count. You have more than 3 arguing you.
Second nobody has criticized you for ''liking Beyonce'' .
Thirdly, logic is I suppose yet another subject ''extensively studied'' by you as you understand it as little as all the other subjects you ''studied''.
Neither the amount nor the age of those arguing your comments have any bearing on the fact that you complaining of being offended way after you have been calling people names and talking down to them is a ludicrous and hypocritical act.

And to think....all this could have been avoided had you either spent one summercamp afternoon or one Sunday morning learning a little something about ethics. ;-D

    ReplyDelete
  148. Whether she did or not, her job as a vocalist is to take care of your voice. Singing in near freezing weather is not taking care of your voice, so "if" she did, then it's no big whoop because she did what she was supposed to as an artist and instead allegedly recorded it the night before, without studio trickery. (On one of Anderson Cooper's show) An MR removed (which is where they mess with the recording so they can hear the singer sing live/raw) It showed that Beyonce was singing live/over a backing track, so no she did not lipsync and I'm not even a fan. Whether she did lipsync or not (whatever you choose to believe), kudos to her because she either took care of her voice or she showed her ass an sang it anyway. I'm pissed that she didn't cover her neck though. It's freezing outside, you're a singer and your neck is exposed. That's a no-no.

    ReplyDelete
  149. You know nothing about me. Stop making assumptions. That is your problem. Just admit it.
How can you possibly say that I am dumb without knowing who I am? It's just absurd.

    ReplyDelete
  150. First off, I can count honey :) You, Reiko, and Mel R. That would be 1, 2, and 3.
Second, let me rephrase that. You guys are criticizing me, on a personal level, for defending one of my favorite artists.
And yes, you're right. I have been offending y'all, and for that I apologize. I shouldn't have. This isn't even about Beyonce anymore.
Now, the question is, can you apologize to me? Cause you are well-aware that you have been insulting me just as much as I have been insulting you.

    ReplyDelete
  151. I'm done, this is pointless.

    ReplyDelete
  152. Kelly's performance was generic at best. I didn't hear anything special in that performance. Yes, Kelly performed live. Ws that her best performance? Hell no, but her performance was ratchet as hell.

    ReplyDelete
  153. OMG HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR PEOPLE TO SAY "LIP SYNCING!!!" NOT LIP SINGING? UGH!

    ReplyDelete
  154. It's not like she's incapable of singing live, which she has (obviously) and she's definitely one of the top female vocalists that've been out in a while. You did not pay to see her, so that point is irrelevant. No matter if she lip syncs (NOT lip sing) or not, it doesn't take away from her talent. A part of being a vocalists is taking care of your voice and singing in 40 degree weather is not taking care of your voice. Even Whitney Houston lipsynced her national anthem. YES, they did record it and it wasn't edited which means that technically it is their live vocals, but they were performed in a different time and a different place. I figure that as long as there's no studio trickery, there's no harm in lipsyncing if the conditions are were going to be too harsh for the actual performance date.

    ReplyDelete
  155. Question: You say that Beyonce has great technique but does not emote well. Isn't phrasing a part of emoting and isn't phrasing a part of technique? So how isn't she at the very least an average emotive singer is she has great technique?

    ReplyDelete
  156. LOL again....YOU are doing all the telling yourself babes. The most damaging info you gave us regarding your intelligence: endlessly defending your supposed intelligence to a bunch of strangers on the net and being a stan. Obvious lying isn't helping you out much either nor is utterly misplaced assuming of a victim role.

    ReplyDelete
  157. How is that even a response to my questions? Whatever, lol, like I said in that other post, I've exhausted too much time and energy on this, I'm done arguing with y'all :)

    ReplyDelete
  158. I have no intention of apologizing to you sweets. I meant every word and you deserved them.

    And you forgot Serendipity.

    ReplyDelete
  159. That's fine, the word of a miserable old hag like you means less than nothing to me.
Bye though :) have a nice life.

    ReplyDelete
  160. What questionS. There's only one there ..you asking why I think you aren't anywhere near as intelligent as you claim to be. The answer to that question...I've been reading your comments. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  161. That was not my question, but okay, lmfao. Stop trying to pick fights though, someone of your maturity level should know better. You shouldn't have a 15 year old telling you how to behave.

    ReplyDelete
  162. I can name quite a few songs in which Beyonce emotes well. Listen, All I Could Was Cry, Resentment, etc.

    ReplyDelete
  163. LMFAO, that's a little harsh. I'm not a huge Rihanna fan so I don't care that much. I really like her last 3 albums. I like them because of the production, not so much her voice.

    ReplyDelete
  164. Why should I apologize for an observation I honestly thought was correct> I apologize for hurting your itty-bitty feelings, but i don't apologize for my statement.

    ReplyDelete
  165. That's all I wanted, good day sir.

    ReplyDelete
  166. Madam* my apologies.

    ReplyDelete
  167. Excuse me, but how does judging Beyonce based on her past actions, in any way, constitute discrimination, corruption, or bigotry?

Go buy yourself a dictionary :)

    ReplyDelete
  168. LMFAO, bovines, nice vocabulary there. Bye though, I have nothing left to say.

    ReplyDelete
  169. You've called me unintelligent many times before that, but okay.

And the summer camp that I went to was pretty good. I'm not sure, but I think 80% of the faculty there has advanced degrees. That's for the regular school year, I'm not sure about the summer camp. But considering most teachers from the regular year teach at the summer camp, I'd say they were more than qualified teachers.

However, my comment on atheism as it relates to pessimism did not derive from the psychology course I took, it derived from, as I said, my personal experience, as well as various studies done. When I was an atheist, I was very depressed, in ways you can't imagine. I saw a psychologist and all. But now that I believe in God, I'm much happier.

    ReplyDelete
  170. No thank you. If you read more carefully, you'd see that I said "your preconceived notions of Beyonce prevent you from viewing her in a fair manner." Go buy yourself some glasses.

    ReplyDelete
  171. Dude, shut up, lol. Why are you acting like Opie's little biatch?

    ReplyDelete
  172. It doesn't prevent me from viewing her in a fair manner though. I'm just taking into account her previous actions, and making assumptions based on what her character indicates. Sounds fair to me.

In any case, are you familiar with the 'three strikes' rule? It exists in baseball... in the American legal system... and now I'm applying it to the music scene as well. Gosh, how unreasonable.

    ReplyDelete
  173. They're not my studies...
However, if you still have a problem with these studies, you can complain to actual psychologists.
But that's completely false, not every religion believes in a hell first of all. And second, believing in hell doesn't make you fearful. It makes you strive to not go to hell...

    ReplyDelete
  174. Excuse me for saying 'hell'. I was a Catholic for a time, before I became agnostic, and 'hell' was the first word to come to mind. Let me rephrase my statement:
Without the threat of divine retribution hanging over their heads, atheists should lead happier, more fulfilling lives.

THERE! You just backed my statement. By striving to not provoke heavenly punishment, they must reign in harmless desires, curb harmless behavior, and live according to stricter guidelines because their religion condemns certain actions they may or may not wish to participate in. Therefore, it is impossible for them to lead fulfilling lives!

    ReplyDelete
  175. Lol we both did some time ago. ( and Mel as well) High five right back at you!
Genius Arthur is just only now starting to realise. Hence all his backpedaling thinly disguised as ''apologies''

And he truly is pathetic. Upvoting his own comments, thinking other people's approval (even when faked) constitutes validation of an opinion to anybody here but him. So now half pint is jealous. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  176. Your comments all say the same thing. LMFAO.

    And cool story bro ^_^

    ReplyDelete
  177. It's not because of what DD said. It's because of what Beyonce has done in the past. She has stolen songwriting credits, plagiarized dance routines, and lipped before. I think it's fairly reasonable to assume that she might lip again, especially when I read that it has been confirmed by the spokeswoman for the Marine Corps Band. And while it's true that I don't like Beyonce very much, I don't really dislike her enough to make unfounded accusations.

Of course I would defend her- I would justify her actions, for instance, but I would not attempt to deny her actions, as you have attempted to do for Beyonce.

    ReplyDelete
  178. It depends on the person. There are people who are extremely religious, there are people who are religious, then there are people like me that are somewhat religious. I just think it's comforting, knowing theirs a God and all. It's very reassuring.
But you never know, I know some very religious people who are EXTREMELY happy with their lives. Why? Because they genuinely enjoy abiding by those unreasonably strict laws.
    So yeah...

    ReplyDelete
  179. Wow, that argument held no water whatsoever. "I know some people?" Are these 'people' made up too, just like half of your other statements? I know plenty of people, but I don't use them in arguments because acquaintances don't make solid or believable points (mainly due to the fact that they are not good representations of any category of people).

    ReplyDelete
  180. Now with that utter failure at a retort, I think you should show some wisdom and quietly move on already like you claimed you were going to. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  181. I'm not realizing anything. I still think I was right in trying to defend my favorite modern artist. Those aren't back peddles. I was genuinely sorry for being unreasonably aggressive. That's another problem of yours, you over-think. Plus I'd really like to stop arguing, because most of what we are saying is hurtful, and is not in the spirit of music lovers.
And you can call me pathetic all you want, it doesn't make me pathetic :) it just makes you look really mean.
And lmfao, half pint? I'm like 6'2", stop making assumptions...

  182. You claimed I called you unintelligent as a retort. That's half true. I described your actions and comments as unintelligent, but I did not describe you as unintelligent.

"However, research findings don't agree on how much of the benefit is religious and how much derives from the benefits of social networking and being with other like-minded people." Quoted directly from your link.

So even your study is unsure. Well. I think that speaks for itself.

  183. People with Down syndrome are often even happier than people taking comfort in Make believe. Just saying ;-)

  184. DivaDevotee said it was confirmed. I trust DivaDevotee as a source; he has rarely delivered inaccurate information in the past.

There was no such confirmation. The only confirmation was that she did lip it. This was confirmed by an inaugural official, according to Perezhilton and Entertainment Weekly.

  185. To prove your point (that religious people are happier) you cite a minority? How convincing.

I didn't mean to tell you what to say: I meant it as advice. When you say "so there", you forfeit all rights to be taken seriously.

  186. Okay dude, you can believe in whatever you want, just don't make fun of what I believe in. Is that too much to ask?

  187. It was said by a spokesperson for the band. However, a spokesperson for the band says that the band cannot assess if she lipped or not. So that statement then falls.
You can decide for yourself, but the evidence seems pretty overwhelming that she did not lip.

  188. Because this argument is so stupid, can't you realize that? We're not even talking about Beyonce at this point.
And I'm not attempting to act like anything. The fact that you think I'm trying to be the bigger person is kinda flattering, lol

  189. Muslims seem very happy as well.
"So there" is a quirky thing to say. It's usage of rhetoric.

  190. And that's totally why Muslim women all over the world are beginning to protest the Islamic Sharia laws.

It's also a very childish thing to say. Brings to mind memories of playgrounds and kindergartners.

  191. I said "attempting to look". Not attempting to be.

  192. On that note, good night, I'm done talking about this.

  193. That's a gross exaggeration. First of all, not all Muslims follow Sharia Law. Only 5 Muslim states abide by it, 5. What was that you said, generalization? Second, Muslims love their religion.
Childhood is a beautiful thing. It's not always so bad to be childish :)
