[Watch] Brandy, Fantasia and Some Dudes Tribute Babyface @ 2015 Soul Train Awards

Babyface is a musical legend. From producing hits for just about everyone; to running a commercially successful label (LaFace); to having a solo career in his own right, the guy is music royalty. No question.

So it's about time he had some kind of recognition for his massive influence. And that's just what happened at the 2015 Soul Train Awards, where a host of stars - Boyz II Men, Fantasia, Brandy, Bobby Brown and Tevin Campbell- united to perform a collection of his creations.

Singing Sitting Up In My Room, Brandy was the first Diva out on stage. Starting with lows that were dark and hazy, the voice climbed beautifully into its contrasting solid, mid-range. It's just a shame she didn't have longer, as the voice sounded like it was getting ready to take flight.

Directly after B-Rocka came American Idol winner Fantasia, who started off singing the Whitney Houstin classic Exhale (Shoop Shoop)- always a tough Diva to cover. Once again it was over too quickly to get a real taste. However, the Diva really got to let loose with her follow-up song, Superwoman. The starting was a little pitchy, but Fanny clawed it back when it came time to belt, serving us her signature rasp and held notes.

Check it out!
