D∆WN Keeps On Serving Perfection With New song "Honest"

Every post about Dawn Richards just has me swooning over her incredible talent- and deservedly so!

In her own lane, Honest is serving up seductive vocals over electronic soundscapes and broken beats.
Its release comes hot on the heels of February's Not About That which I shamefully didn't post on. Currently still bopping to that, months later, I think both tracks deserve way more love and attention than they're getting.

So listen and love (or I'll stab ya up).

Despite Accusations Of Lipping, Beyonce Hits a Great F5 On First Date Of "Formation" World Tour

The juggernaut that is the Formation tour has officially taken flight as of yesterday! Your Queen is on her way to a makeshift hive near you, are y'all ready!?

Starting in Miami, the tour has kept the buzz around Beyonce- initially created by the critically acclaimed Lemonade release this week- humming nicely.  Props to whoever coordinated the roll out of this project! It's practically perfect in every way.

Ariana Grande Takes "Dangerous Woman" To "Tonight Show"

Ariana Grande's Dangerous Woman  left my mind almost as quickly as it came to it (i.e. instantaneously).

But good on the Diva, she's clearly feeling some kind of way about it and is still promoting. To those of you who aren't feeling it either, but still want to hear how the Diva's upper-belts are fairing, skip to 2.40. She sounds good, but there's a whiny quality to them that doesn't do the lyrical content any favours.

[Review] Beyonce Fails to Top Self-titled Album With "Lemonade"

Lemonade has landed!

Beyonce's sixth studio album comes hot on the heels of its feature length HBO promo. Having initially been a Tidal exclusive, the LP has now made its way onto iTunes for the masses to enjoy.

Lemonade finds Beyonce at her furthest from chasing hit singles or appeasing the radio. Don't look for anything easy or immediately infectious- that came courtesy of our first sip, Formation. Instead offered is a collection of eclectic songs, held together with a strong narrative of infidelity and heartache. Sure, these are topics the Diva has tackled before, but they've never had the ring of realness they have here. Gone are the pageant, overwrought lyric and vocals, and in their place is a body of work that feels authentic and entirely more affecting.

Prince Passes Away

I can't even with this news right now. All I can say is rest in peace to the legend that was Prince. Your music will live on forever.

Mariah Carey (Basically) Admits to being a Studio Singer

Everybody knows Mariah Carey has a track record of spotty vocals when it comes to taking her material on the road.

Yes, yes, the five-octave singer has had some incredibly stellar live showings in her mammoth career- I'm not disputing that. But for the most part, this is a Diva who has been consistently dogged by accusations of lip-syncing and post production being used to help bring the live vocals up to the level of those she laid down in the studio.

[Music Video] Little Mix Authentic "Hair" With Sean Paul Feature

Since when did Sean Paul get hot (commercially, speaking) again? He seems to be errywhere of late!

The latest place for him to pop up is on Little Mix's new single, Hair. A light and summery piece of pop, the Electric-produced cut sounds particularly good on a sun kissed day like today. It's no Black Magic or Move but it's still a quality side.

Anyone else surprised to see the ladies together five years into their career and still going strong? I know I am!
