Mariah Carey came to the Billboard Awards and gave us what we wanted: vocals that were adapted to the state of her voice on the night.
Performing Vision Of Love and Infinity, the Diva was clearly having issues transitioning between registers, as well as the higher belts. But Mariah worked around these niggles by relying more so on her mid-range belts and her fuller voice (oppose to the "whisper register). It was obvious she wasn't happy with it, though- rightly so, as some of those notes were out of tune- but what you gonna do! You get lemons, you make the best f***in' lemonade you can.
