[OMG] Warrior Queen Mariah Carey Comes To The Rescue in "Game Of War" Commercial

I'd heard the rumours that Mariah Carey was replacing Kate Upton in the new Game of War commercial. I just didn't quite believe it was going to happen. Oh, me of little faith. The resulting advert is out and is a perfectly pitched, tongue-in-cheek extravaganza that riffs off of her hit, Hero.

[Open Post] Free For All Friday

I'm so hungry....

If you don't know the score, here be the rules:

  • Try not to get too perverted- this site needs to basically be "safe for work".
  • If somebody starts a controversial subject, try keeping it civil when dealing with it. If things get out of hand please flag the conversation.
  • It would be nice if it stuck to music, but it's not a requirement! So talk about news, current events, how you're getting your hair done next time you hit the hairdresser! Whateves, really!
  • No nasty comments aimed at other users.
  • Feel Free to promote yourself/ blog/ music/ relationship status!
Inappropriate hugs to all of y'all (hi-fives to the underagers), and wishing you an awesome weekend!

FKA Twigs Covers Sia's Elastic Heart @ Live Lounge

FKA Twigs' catalouge has been on heavy rotation again since her latest EP M3LL155X dropped last month.

With such a sonically cohesive sound, I was intrigued to hear how she'd handle the distinctly pop sounding Elastic Heart, which she chose to cover for Radio 1's Live Lounge. No surprise, she ably pulled the song into her world with spacious, brooding production, delicate vocals and a little bit of performance art. Basically, she FKA Twigs-ed it.

Anyone expecting a karaoke rendition, look elsewhere. This one ain't for you. Maybe try Ella Eyre's take.
