[CLT] Tinashe - " Dreams Are Real"
Sure I had a status up recently touching on how much I'm enjoying Tinashe's newest mixtape, Amethyst.
Dreamy and ambient, it's been the thing I've been throwing on to unwind after a long day of #firstworldproblems. But since this is the "currently listening" to post, where we're supposed to showcase the one song that's been on repeat for us recently, I'll stick to the album opener, Dreams Are Real.
Take a listen and let me know what you've been currently listening to in the comments.

[New Music] JoJo - "Far From Heaven"
New music from vocal beast, JoJo.
Far From Heaven is a piano propelled ballad that sees the Diva leaving the RnB pond she's been frolicking in for the longest time for more adult contemporary waters. How did I come to that opinion? Well, I can hear Adele singing a song like this for one, which to me is enough of a reason to put it in that genre. (Scientific, I know!)
Mariah Carey's "One Sweet Day" Retains Billboard Hot 100 Longest Running #1 Crown!
Our prayers have been answered Diva fans!! Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men's record-breaking 16 week reign at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 remains unbroken!
Things were looking scary for a moment, with Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars being two weeks from matching the Diva's feat with Uptown Funk. But Wiz Khalifa's See You Again has come from nowhere to block the pair, ascending to the number one spot. I can't say I know of any of this dude's material, but right now, I think whatever this track sounds like, I'm going to love it.
If I were Wiz, I'd be watching out for the delivery man. I'm thinking copious amounts of champagne and a thank you note are the least he can expect!

[New Music] Christina Aguilera - The Real Thing
Christina Aguilera's contribution to Nashville, the TV show she has just joined, has hit the webz.
With a rock edge and a driving beat, The Real Thing places the Diva's vocal style in a genre it locks into perfectly. But it isn't just full-on, high octane belting that fill the 3 minute-shy song. There's plenty of peaks and valleys crammed in too, so variety is present not only in the production, but also the vocal.

[Revealed] Album Art For Mariah Carey's "#1 To Infinity" Revealed
In what was a pretty successful internet campaign yesterday, Mariah Carey teased fans over the course of the day with a bit by bit release of her newest album cover. To help get the word out, the image was revealed swifter to those who shared the news via social media. A tact that lead to #RevealMariah trending periodically throughout the day. How's that for relevancy!
[Watch] Ariana Grande Covers Whitney Houston's "I Have Nothing" (Again)
We've officially now seen latest vocalist on the block, Ms.Ariana Grande, successfully cover the Holy Trinity of Divas. ( She's actually done this previous to now, but since I've started the train on this track, I'm going to roll with the flawed narrative anyway.)

[Watch] Rihanna Makes Politcal Statement With "American Oxygen" Video
Rihanna's R8 campaign seems to consist solely of the Diva taking risk after risk, breaking away from any kind of status quo established previously.
First we had lead single FourFiveSeconds being folksy, generally all kinds of different and having a significant chunk sung by a rapper many were turned off by. That was followed up by B***h Better Have My Money, which though more familiar in style for the diva, had profanity in the title that was repeated often in chorus. Hardly a way to gain radio favor. And now we have single three, American Oxygen, which on hearing alone sounded like a track pandering to a nation she, and most her listeners, aren't even citizens of.
