[New Music Video] Lana Del Rey "Ride"

Lana Del Rey's fascination with the Hollywood of yesteryear continues on the ten minute extravaganza for new single Ride. Like a film, the video even has rolling credits at the end!

Opening with a lengthy monologue, the singer-songwriter reveals a rebellious but emotionally fragile character, recounting the time in her life where she felt most free. A time where she found safety in others (illustrated by the "unconventional" male leads), sang to get by, and lived on the road.

[New Music Video] Pink "Try"

#Confessiontime.Though Pink's last single Blow Me (One Last Kiss) did end up growing on me, I was relieved when I (eventually) listened to its accompanying album and realised it was probably the weakest song from The Truth About Love.

[Watch] Beyonce Gives Worst Performance Of Her Career @ Barclays Center

music singing beyonce

Having given so many knock out performance in her mammoth career, I thought Beyonce was infallible.

Consistently delivering high octane choreography, along with world class vocals, the Bootlicious star had convinced me that perfection was her standard and it wasn't possible for her to deliver anything but that. Well, if you thought that too, check out her performance of Diva, Crazy in Love and Young Forever.

Pitchy vocals, clearly lacking stamina (vocally and physically), and sounding like her voice has dropped some of it's range, Beyonce was all over the shop in this set at the Barclays Center. Jay-Z wasn't much better either.

[New Music] Lady Gaga "Stache (Can You Feed My Love)"

After the crushing (personal) disappointment that was Born This Way, Lady Gaga had to do something radically different with new project ARTPOP if she wanted this fickle fans' hard earned money again. Well, if new song Stache (Can You Feed My Love) is any indication of what is coming to us, she might as well take my money now, because I love what I hear!

[Vocal Profile] Tamar Braxton

Vocal Type:Coloratura Soprano
Vocal Range:Four Octaves and One Note (C3-D7)
Whistle Register: Yes
Vocal Pluses: Tamar Braxton finds her strength in her head voice and higher chest register. Her lower range is not as strong but is still well supported. Due to Tamar's expert mixing of her head and chest voice, her belting range extends all the way to a Bb5; having a very bright, light quality to it.

Her head voice is smooth and airy, and is well connected to the rest of the voice.
She is also able of singing notes in the whistle register, producing a tone that is not piercing but instead very smooth.

[Watch] Nicki Minaj Attacks Mariah Carey During American Idol Auditions

nicki mariah entertainment

OMG. I'd read about the supposed fight between Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey during the American Idol Auditions but straightaway brushed it off as a publicity stunt. That was until I saw the footage.

If Nicki is acting here then get that girl an Oscar, because to me it looks like she is clearly annoyed and off on a rant. According to TMZ the argument got so out of hand that it ended with Ms Manaj telling Mariah, “I’m gonna knock you out”.

I'm hoping that this clip has been released totally out of context, because if it hasn't, Nicki Minaj is going to suffer from it going public. It totally contradicts the sweet and accessible image that has allowed her to cross over into the mainstream.

[New Music] Adele's New Bond Song, "Skyfall"

This hasn't been confirmed as the new Bond song, Skyfall, from Adele, but listening to it it's easy to hear why people are claiming it to be just that.

It clearly features vocals from Adele, has the Bond theme interwoven throughout and, if those weren't big enough clues, it has the word "Skyfall" in the chorus!!
