Kesha Makes It To The Billboard Awards 2016 and Performs Bob Dylan Cover, "It Ain't Me, Babe"

The impression that I was under, was that Kesha wouldn't be performing at the 2016 Billboard Awards. But it looks like Sony/Kemosabe Records finally came to their senses as there she was, on the night, performing the Bob Dylan song, It Ain’t Me, Babe.

A standing ovation of course followed, but was it for the performance itself, or in sympathy and support for embattled singer-songwriter? Watch and decide for yourself.

[Watch] Britney Spears Takes Billboard Awards 2016 On A Journey With A Medley Of Her Hits

Britney Spears put on quite the show at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards.

Singing a medley of hits, the Diva had set pieces, dancers and all kinds of razzle-dazzle going on. The first few minutes were concerning, having me convinced it was going to be eight minutes of smoke and mirrors to distract from Spears' robotic movements. However, as she progressed through the set, the stomping around the stage and spastic movements became less frequent, as fluidity and life came to the Diva.

Celine Dion Electrifies the Billboard Awards With "The Show Must Go On" Cover

Celine Dion has a had a tough time of late, losing both her husband and brother in quick succession. Still reeling from those losses, the Diva gave a tearful acceptance speech when collected the Icon Award at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards.

The Legend also performed at the show, singing the dramatic and fitting Queen cover: The Show Must Go On.  Delivering an electric rendition, the Diva reminded all why she is considered to be one of the best vocalists of past and present, owning the stage like the music royalty she is.

[Watch] Rihanna Shocks With Versatile Vocals @ 2016 Billboard Awards

rihanna billboard 2016

Even though Needed Me is the single currently climbing the Hot 100, Rihanna, in her infinite wisdom, decided to forgo giving it that further push by singing it at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards. Instead, it was the classic-sounding Love on The Brain that got the gig.

[Shock] Pink Calls Christina Aguilera "...Best Singer Of Our Generation"!!!

Now I've heard everything!

Promoting her stint on The Voice -where she acted as an advisor- Pink gave Christina Aguilera a MASSIVE compliment, calling her, "one of the best singers of our generation"! Excuse me for being a little shocked, it's just not something I thought I'd ever hear from the Missundaztood singer.

Their issues supposedly go way back. Initially starting from their first meeting on the Lady Marmalade collaboration, it was a beef that grew more personal when the Dirty one poached Pink's friend and collaborator- Linda Perry- for her own project. I thought this was a petty spat that would see me through to my grave, keeping me warm for all eternity. But nope, looks like it's over.

What a wondrous time to be alive.

Christina Aguilera Improves On Rihanna, Beyonce, Gaga and Whitney Houston Material by Aguilera-ising Them on Ellen

What the point of this segment was, I don't know.

Rather than imitate the Divas coming up on the screen, which would have been fun to watch, Christina Aguilera sang the songs as Christina Aguilera. Maybe that was the point! To have Ellen guess the artist, in any way, bar Chrisy naming them outright.  Clearly I've never seen (or heard of) this "Head up!" segment before, but it reads as charades for two people. Am I right? #Confused.

Anywho, my reading too much into this tiny VT my thoughts on the video:
  • Christina's contour is awful.
  • Christina still has beef with Gaga despite their apparent make up with the  Do What U Want duet on The Voice.
  • And the biggest shock: Christina doesn't know any Streisand!! BURN HEERRRRR!
Seriously, f**k this! Give us new music, already! I'm dying over here, Xtina! .

[Watch] Trailer for Mariah Carey's New Reailty Series Airs On YouTube

You must have heard by now that Mariah Carey fired her old management team. Well the replacement squad clearly hit the ground running, getting the Diva back on the road and back into shape (vocally and physically).

Next stop on their rebrand of the Queen of the '90s, is to (I assume) make her seem "normal" and somewhat relatable.  And what better, and quicker, way to do that than a reality show on the network that gave us the iconic Kardashian brood.

Taken from E!’s  own blurb of the eight-episode series, entitled Mariah's World :
