[Watch] Sam Smith Duets With Mary J.Blige @ The Apollo

Could Sam Smith be the next British export to reach Adele superstar status? Well, maybe not the "next" one because Adele is going to come back this year and slay everyone, but her male equivalent?

As far as the UK goes, I could totally see him enjoying the same success she has. If he's to replicate that globally, though, it's going to be a different story, and he's going to need a breakout song like Adele had with Rolling In the Deep. His team up with Naughty Boy (La La La) should have been that, but unfortunately he didn't feature in the video, so not many clocked him as the singer.

Cheryl Cole Hits Britain's Got Talent With "Crazy Stupid Love" Performance

We never did get a chance to talk about Cheryl Cole's Crazy Stupid Love, did we.

Having returned to the X-Factor (UK) this year, it's no shocker the Diva decided now was the right time to put out new music. Truthfully, she'd have been a total idiot to not capitalise on the opportunity- especially considering how her music career did post X-Factor.

[Music Video] Lana Del Rey - "Shades Of Cool"

Lana Del Rey looks like she's set, once again, to prove that she has the clout to move albums- with an estimated 200,000 copies of Ultraviolence being snatched up in the US alone this week.

To tie in with the release, the Diva has uploaded a second video from this third LP to the interweb. Say hello to the dreamy Shades Of Cool, which continues to tread the visual path of last video West Coast.

Jessie Ware Returns With Stunning Song, "Tough Love"

Have you ever had that experience where you don't realise how much you've missed someone or something until it's in front of you again, reminding you of its existence? Well, I've just had that happen with the super talented Jessie Ware.

[Album Discussion Post] Lana Del Rey - "Ultraviolence"

The long awaited third LP from Lana Del Rey has arrived!

Released this week, Ultraviolence has been met with critical acclaim from those in the know, with many labeling it a more focused and cohesive album than Born To Die. I'm not sure I agree with those sentiments- Born To Die was pretty darn cohesive if you ask me- but this album does see Lana change her sound, ditching the lucious and grandiose production of her debute for  a rockier, rough and ready persona.

I haven't had enough time with the album to give a proper opinion on it, but I thought I'd make a post for you guys to discuss it. I'll join the discussion after I've given it a few more spins.

[Watch] Mariah Carey Demonstrates She Still Has Her Five Octave Range On New Album "Me.I.Am Mariah"

So, no one bought Mariah Carey's new album Me.I Am Mariah (allow for slight exaggeration on my part). That being so, I thought I'd show you- via a video from YouTuber Mariah Greyson - what you missed out on the vocal front!

Free For All Friday

That was an eventful, and pointless, week...yep, I'm back where I started. I don't think I'm going to try moving again anytime soon. Don't think my ticker can take it.

If you don't know the score, here be the rules:
  • Try not to get too perverted- this site needs to basically be "safe for work".
  • If somebody starts a controversial subject, try keeping it civil when dealing with it. If things get out of hand please flag the conversation.
  • It would be nice if it stuck to music, but it's not a requirement! So talk about news, current events, how you're getting your hair done next time you hit the hairdresser! Whateves, really!
  • No nasty comments aimed at other users.
Inappropriate hugs to all of y'all (hi-fives to the underagers), and wishing you an awesome weekend!

Today's Pep Talk Comes Courtesy of Kelly Rowland And "The Game"

Though Kelly Rowland is serving-up generic inspirational fare with new song The Game, she's doing it pretty convincingly with a percussive backing and a solid vocal.

[New Music] Amerie Samples "Apache (Jump On It)" For New Single "What I Want"

Amerie has returned and is still rocking that percussive-heavy sound like it's 2005!

But whatever, I don't have a problem with that. I'll always appreciate the power it has to get me off of my seat. The issue I do have is with the Sugar Hill Gang sample new song What I Want is built upon. That classic will always and forever be associated with the Carlton dance [here] in my mind, and thus I'll have a tough time taking anything using it seriously- as is the case here.

I'll sit this particular song out, but it's great to have Amerie back on the scene.
