Afraid of the 2012 Armageddon?

Scared of this happening to the Earth at the end of 2012 (well you might be after you've seen the gif...lol):

You would also be if you've bought into the current Armageddon-du-jour that is the Mayan 2012 Prophecy. Well let one of our wisest Divas, Ms Dolly Parton, give you some sage advice on how to deal with these and any other irrational fears you may feel about the future! Take a listen:

In The Meantime taken from Dolly Parton's latest album Better Day

In summation, get over it and just enjoy life! Whatever will be, will be!

  3. Lol Henrique dude, she is quirky (in a good way) but she is extremely talented both in songwriting and singing! After all she is responsible for one of the most magnificent songs of all time remember 'I Will Always Love You'!

  7. OMG I LOVE that song....and indeed its one of those bop along feel good numbers! I think that here in the UK people dont give her the credit she deserves to be honest. There are so many gems she has dropped and most would never be able to tell you what they are, its sad really

  8. Yeh totally she is on BBC chat shows ect a lot here and she is not only fun but very humble and grounded and considering her epic career its to be admired!

I was just looking at her wikipedia page lol you are psychic and I was thinking I should add something about her voice and legacy in general...her soprano is soo cute but also very vulnerable and touching! Plus she looks fab for her age at that :)

  9. I remember seeing an interview with her in which she stated she made a LOT of money from that song, one can only imagine how much! I seen a vid of her singing it recently and she did a crazy good job too, I dont think her versions get anywhere near the credit they deserve.

  11. Don't get me wrong, Whitneys version was outstanding and is a classic, always will be, but there is something fragile, genuine and real about Dolly's rendition that really rings true for me.

  12. LOL much like with every Whitney rendition..I was not a fan. As usual it indeed did not ring true to me. The sentiment the song is about would not be something I would feel like belting out.
